Running Abroad: Helsinki | cath's core creations
https://catherinescorecreations.wordpress.com/2014/03/29/running-abroad-helsinki
Cath's core creations. Butternut-Apple Salad with Honey-Lemon Dressing. March 29, 2014. Last week I traveled to Sweden and Finland with other design students from my study abroad program. In between the Swedish meatballs and Finnish reindeer meals, I explored the town on foot. Helsinki was DA. BOMB. it reminded me a lot of Minneapolis with its bike corridors and running paths around the lakes. I would say it is the best running city I’ve visited in Europe so far! Posted in Move / / Workouts. And ah what ...

Angers: A Love/Hate Relationship | A Frenchie in France

A Frenchie in France. Luck of the Irish →. Angers: A Love/Hate Relationship. May 24, 2014. I decided I was going to study abroad during college at approximately the ripe young age of five. It was always assumed I would study in France my junior year. At KU, in order to finish my French major abroad, I had one option: Angers, France. Not Paris? I like that almost no one speaks English, forcing me to use French all the time. I like being in classes with international students from all over Europe, Asia, an...

A Frenchie in France. Tapas, Couscous, and Pasta: Part 1. The Flip Side →. Tapas, Couscous, and Pasta: Part 2. May 9, 2014. So you know how I said that keeping a sense of humor wasn’t necessary for the first part of the trip, because really everything was so funny? Of humor was a daily struggle for the second half. Time made my sick stomach feel even worse, so at the restaurant I only ate the breadbasket. And desert of course. If I ever turn down desert, call an ambulance immediately. Any intelligent per...

A Frenchie in France. Fed up with France (Not really, I’m being dramatic). Lies I was told about study abroad →. Copenhagen: the land of colorful buildings and beautiful men. April 1, 2014. This weekend, I took a trip with my travel buddy (who some might think is my only study abroad friend), Meredith, to Copenhagen. How to sum up the city? Is a concept with which I am more than happy to hop on board. Will we like our job? Will we be successful? Everyone my age in the whole wide world is panicking. A...

A Frenchie in France. Monthly Archives: April 2014. The Battle for France. April 16, 2014. How often do you think about D-Day? If you’re like me (which you probably are), you have thought about it for around 10 minutes twice in your life in various history classes. You might have even seen Saving Private Ryan . However, if you’re French and over 70 years old, you think about D-Day daily. D-Day , her fiancé explained. Here are a few of her stories: (Keep in mind these were told to me in French, so if you ...
