Maximum depth: 17m, average depth 14 m. This dive site is on the seaward side of the southern tip of 2-mile. It is named after an old ship anchor chain, which in the early days of diving could be seen lying across the reef, but now has got totally encrusted by coral and sponges. The Nurse Shark on Chain. Simons Cave

Depth: 13 - 16 m. This is one of the most northern dive sites on 2-Mile reef, just slightly south of Hot Spots and Cat reef. We then drift over a beautiful carpet of both hard and soft corals. The meander continues along a beautiful reef structure which we call ‘the Garden Route’. Those divers that don’t consume their air in a hurry are very often rewarded by the White-tip Reef shark who loves to sleep in a cave that has been named after him. Arches

Maximum depth: 13 m. Arches is a dive site close to the center of 2-Mile and is named after a large Arch that is formed by sandstone rock structures. Divers love swimming through the arch, and lots of photographs are taken in this area. About 15 m north of the arch is a beautiful ledge with an Anemone that has been made home by a pair of Two-bar Clown Fish, that gives divers an opportunity to take photos using the blue water above them as a background. 2 Mile

Average depth: between 12m and 16m, outside edge 30m. This is the largest reef at Sodwana Bay. This reef is approximately 1.9 km long and 900m wide and because of its size hosts up to 30 different dive sites. 2-Mile has the most extensive beds of beautiful coral of all types. All the different sharks are occasionally seen here, with White-tipped and Grey Reef sharks seen most often. Kaleidoscope

Maximum depth: 18 m. Kaleidoscope is an area of the 2-Mile Reef which is unknown to other dive operators. This area was originally only used by spearfishermen. On our very first dive, as we got into the water, we were surrounded by a huge shoal of yellow-backed Fusiliers, reminding us of the Kaleidoscope we played with when we were children.
