Stephens' Stories

Friday, April 24, 2015. Campbell turned one year old on April 7th. That year flew by! It seems like just yesterday we were headed to the hospital down the road and leaving Austin with my mom to wait for baby brother to arrive. At 1, Campbell weighs 18 lbs 7.5 oz, which is 9th percentile in weight. He is 31 inches tall, which is 87th percentile. His head is 18 inches around, which is 38th percentile. He is tall and thin! I am sure there is much more I am forgetting but hopefully this sums up our crazy sec...

Stephens' Stories: June 2014

http://amyanddavidstephens.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Sunday, June 8, 2014. Campbell at 2 Months. Campbell's 2 month doctor's visit was on Thursday June 5. He appropriately slept for 8.5 consecutive hours the night before the visit so that we would have something to brag to Dr. Pielop about. Campbell weighed 10 lbs 14 oz, which is 19% in weight and was 23 1/2 inches tall, which is 78%. So he is tall and thin! His head was 15 1/2 inches, which was 63%. He is getting big! Austin is a sweet big brother! When I would bring Campbell in his classroom at school to...

Monday, August 25, 2014. Campbell at 4 months. He loves his tummy too - every time I put him on his back to play or in his bed, he almost immediately rolls over. He sleeps on his tummy too! You are such a joy! Campbell at 4 months. Austin at 4 months - much rounder face, and belly :). Laid him down on floor about 5 feet from here, left for 2 min, and came back and he was trying to get in the tent. I think he log rolled. Mobility, here we come! Monday, August 18, 2014. Road trip to Colorado. On Thursday w...

Thursday, April 9, 2015. On our way back to Houston, we stopped in Austin and had lunch at BB's awesome retirement community. They even have a putting green there - Austin was in heaven! Learning from the pro rock-thrower. All the littles - Austin holding Kase (4 mos), Campbell (being secured to the bench by my mystery hand, Caroline (2), Paige (2), Anna holding Toby (6 mos). He loves golf too. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Campbell at 12 months. Campbell at 11 months. Campbell at 9 months.

Stephens' Stories: February 2015

http://amyanddavidstephens.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Monday, February 9, 2015. We invited our immediate family to attend the service and come over for brunch afterwards at our house. We are thankful! For this reason I kneel. Before the Father,. From whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches. He may strengthen you with power. Through his Spirit in your inner being,. So that Christ may dwell in your hearts. Through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted. And established in love,. Is the love of Christ,.

September | 2012 | What You Think Matters...

https://davyellen17.wordpress.com/2012/09

What You Think Matters…. Archive for September, 2012. We journeyed from Houston to Denver to Tetons to Missoula to Banff to North Cascades to San Juan Islands to Seattle to Olympic to Rainier to St. Helens to Cape Lookout to Cape Blanco to Redwoods to Tahoe to Crested Butte to Houston. 8000 miles. And then we came home. And immediately as we went back to the hustle of the daily life I missed my suspension between D to S to B within the walls of our moving vehicle. But this time is good. Peyt's Island: December 2011

http://peytsisland.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Saturday, December 31, 2011. A Taste of Christmas. After the fantastic Orlando wedding, I took a train (yes, they have passenger trains in America! To West Palm Beach, where my fabulous cousin Erika. Picked me up for that blessed first dinner at Panera and shopping trip to Target, a Guammie dream date if I've ever heard of one. Step one: Add half a pound of lard to four cups of flour. Believe it or not, lard is Paleo approved. As a worthwhile fat). Leave dough in refrigerator overnight so the yeast rises.

Peyt's Island: Hey Soul Sister

http://peytsisland.blogspot.com/2012/05/hey-soul-sister.html

Thursday, May 31, 2012. One of the first days I met April, she handed me a stack of 100 poems she had written that she wanted to publish into a book one day. Spoken word poetry is a gift of hers. Three years later, I spent a summer working to help her edit her poems into one complete volume called Utter Magic. If none of this has convinced you that April is an awesome person to know, then just watch this YouTube video of her dancing on the Ellen Show. Inarajan Pools - April's happy place. We had a blast!

Peyt's Island: October 2012

http://peytsisland.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 26, 2012. Goodbye Peyt's Island. Hello Peyt's Park. I remember so clearly the first post I wrote. I woke up very early one morning in Guam (jet lagged) and sat on the floor in front of the bed in the hotel room while Nick slept. I clicked away energetically typing out the first paragraphs about our first 24 hours. So today, with admittedly far less excitement, I introduce to you Peyt's Park. One last order of duty. saying goodbye. Links to this post. Friday, October 5, 2012. The first par...

Peyt's Island: The lasting gifts of paradise

http://peytsisland.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-lasting-gifts-of-paradise.html

Friday, October 5, 2012. The lasting gifts of paradise. If there's one thing leaving Guam reiterated, it's how much love we received during our time there from our friends and Guam family. We had two really wonderful going away parties, one from our church and one from our friends in the neighborhood. I received two going away presents that were among the most special of my life. I was completely floored. Twice. The first party was a complete surprise! Into two books, actually! They told me the volumes w...

Peyt's Island: August 2010

http://peytsisland.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Tuesday, August 31, 2010. So I’ve been wanting to share with all of you what a typical day looks like out here now that Nick has started traveling, but until this past week I didn’t know myself. I will say- -it has been quite fun, and at times exhausting, figuring it out. The first night after Nick left, some of us went out for Karaoke night! This will definitely not be a one-time event. Also in the past two weeks I have tried some new things, such as playing golf with the ladies. Yet another new activit...

Friday, October 23, 2015. A winger, not a planner. I asked coyly, knowing exactly why he was laughing. You do this every time. You started a budget tracker 2 months ago. We've never discussed it since. You started meal planning for the family, yet our grocery budget nearly doubled when that started.". But my heart was truly in it for that night! When something fun is set up, I want my kids to join in in oder to make a memory. But why has creating forced memories caused me so much distress? I was pregnant...

Lucky You Lucky Me

Wednesday, January 15, 2014. We had to wait for the ambulance to come from Salt Lake City. Here they are getting her ready for her ride. Here we are arriving in Salt Lake at Primary Children s Hospital. So sad to see such a small baby on that big ambulance bed. She had had another seizure during the ride down. I was up front in the ambulance. I got to watch her on a little screen. She is a pretty happy baby I could see her just smiling and cooing back there. Look at all those wires. There she is in the M...

The Spencers

Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Trip to Auburn - Sept 2010. The boys first experience with a Slim Jim. They liked them so much I was actually a little disturbed. I don't think I've ever had one. What are they anyway? We were desperate-only one hour left in the drive. Adult night out at the Auburn/Clemson game. Boys just hangin' out. Brannon's First Fish - September 2010. The Wheels on the Bus- Sept 2010. I love how he can see himself on the video screen and keeps calling himself baby! Well worth it though.

The house that Amy and Del built and the lives we live within it! Tuesday, February 12, 2013. On January 18th 2013 our little, or not so little, guy turned one! A big milestone for him but seemingly an even bigger one for us. We made it. Done. Complete. Our very first year as parents. We feel we did ok. He is still here and he is thriving so we must be doing something right! It's possibly the most exhilarating year of our lives so far. So many changes in such a short amount of time!
