My approach to work is shaped by where I live—across the street from an ill kept New Orleans cemetery. Outside my front door I see plants sprouting over crooked gravestones. It’s a contradictory but grounding view, one that shows how beginnings and endings feed each other and create something new in the process. Facts like these have altered the way I think about innovation, reminding me that sometimes the best way to make progress is to remember how things all began. Thursday, February 21, 2013. One pro...

Wrestling with speed and volume. Life after the storms. Life After the Storms (2005 and 2006). Stories abound. The perspective to understand them, much less feel their impact, is slow in coming. But sometimes just getting the narrative down is a good first step. Men Swarm New Orleans (November 2005). Rdquo; I hear a Texas twang that matches the insignia on his shirt sleeve from the Dallas Country Club. The man is from points west, coming in to make some money a few days a week. Not a good feature...Meanw...

Wrestling with speed and volume. Life after the storms. On June 1st , hurricane season began, and the summer's storm predictions were announced. As usual they sounded more preachy than probable. Were there really going to be 15 storms, or were scientists just trying to scare callow Americans about the dangers of coastal living? Published a spaghetti looking map showing all the routes out of town, color coded by destination, to be used if an evacuation was ordered. The. The Apron Front Sink. Both tranquil...

The Cline Update
Friday, June 22, 2012. Last week, I had to take a friend to Indy to the airport and my Dad and Shell offered to watch the girls so they wouldn't have to go along on the long ride. We are just not ready to commit to having a pet. Good thing we have somewhere to go to get a 'fix.'. Ally seemed to be a natural. She has a great cast and she caught 4 bass. Pretty good size ones too. I believe Mya caught 3 bass, but in this picture it looks like she is just relaxing. Monday, June 18, 2012. And more fun,. Sunda...

Amy Cliser | Amy Cliser's art journey
Amy Cliser's art journey. When There’s a Shark Swimming on Your Lawn. By definition, life is surreal. And collage. Sharks on your lawn becomes a reality, not just two things you might have cut out of magazines and glued down on canvas (shark lawn). You have to look twice in amazement. Or sometimes you have to just stop and hibernate so that, during the dreamtime of sleep, a healing wand can ease your heart into your new reality. It’s not easy. It’s spiritual reconstructive surgery. November 27, 2012.
