Dec 10th, 2008. It’s been busy at work. I stand at my desk, not having time to sit, merging exit and entrance phrases all in one breath, “Thank you for coming, have a nice week, hi, how may I help you…”. The Zombies don’t seem to mind. They are in just as much a hurry as I am to get pumped through the process and lurch out the door. Tis the season, after all. For those who'd like to see what we can do for fun. In the horde, there is a lovely thing called schtick. This qualifies partly under that, and partly under doing things well and setting an example for others, I suppose. That, and many of us love to have fun with a good challenge! Omar says we're a bunch of overachievers, but he was grinning when he said it.

Feb 3rd, 2009. On my new and quite possibly all-consuming new quest. I was Googling Sir John Brockett, in the hopes of finding a copy of his portrait, and found an entire BOOK about the Brocketts of Brockett Hall, available as a PDF on Google Books! The book includes a picture of the portrait I seek, but sadly not of his wife. I shall have to continue my research. Woe is me, however shall I bear up under this burden? 4 comments Leave a comment.
