I took the one less travelled by. How The British Library changed me. April 27, 2013. At the start of this year I began actively working on my Masters dissertation. I moved to London where I worked almost entirely from The British Library. At first, I thought it was great. The place is hailed as one of the best research libraries in the world with more than 150 million items in their catalogue and a regular attendance of great academics, authors, scientists and more. Drinking alone is no longer a faux pas.
