I spent the weekend in Mequon at Gathering on the Green, an annual celebration of the performing arts. Friday night opened with the Taiko Japanese Drummers. Daryl Stuermer headlined with "Genesis Rewired," performing the best of Genesis through the years. from the days of Peter Gabriel to the later years fronted by Phil Collins. 171; Older Post. Me a camera my thoughts. Monday, August 9, 2010. Goodnite, sweet Lollapalooza. Year 4 complete. Saw so many great bands and was introduced to some fun new ones. Sadly I had to miss Saturday for a good friend's wedding, so I left the boyfriend in Chicago to take video and report back to me. Me a camera my thoughts. Friday, May 13, 2011. Diana Mini a new camera love. In the search for a new film camera, the Diana Mini became the chosen one. After one roll of film I do believe I've found my new favorite camera. The Diana Mini is unique in that is can take square shots, half-frame shots and never-ending panoramas. I stayed with the half-frames for the first roll of 36, which meant I had 72 photos to take. Such a great deal - twice as many photos for your dollar. 171; Older Posts.

Me a camera my thoughts. Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Historic Mitchell Street Sun Fair. After a 20 year hiatus, the Historic Mitchell Street Sun Fair returned this past weekend. The festival is a way to put a spotlight on the businesses of Mitchell Street and to celebrate the diverse neighborhood. There were carnival rides and games, food vendors - from your typical fair food to Latin and Indian vendors, and performances from Mariachi bands and Ballet Folklorico Mexico. 171; Older Posts. Michael Moore calls it the Madison Movement - both after the city it was born and the president who wrote the bill of rights. There is a revolution happening in Madison that is now influencing other states to do the same. Me a camera my thoughts. Saturday, September 24, 2011. My passport finally came out of storage last weekend for a short trip to Toronto. I traveled over the border with a couple of friends to see Wilco. And to explore a new city. We stayed off of West Queen Street which is where I'd have to live if I moved there - kind of like Brady Street but went on for 100 blocks! And there was Poutine. I have been a rollgirl for six months now and of that time I’ve been out on injury hiatus for three of them. In this short time I’ve had a distal radial fracture (wrist) and currently am out with a broken fibula and ankle dislocation.
