An American Girl in London

Friday, July 04, 2008. Living in London, I do happen to see celebrities every now and again. So from now on, when I do I will post it here. Yesterday while driving past The Ritz, I saw Adam Campbell standing on on the sidewalk either waiting for a taxi or a bus. I really hope it was a bus because celebrities riding buses is just the best. Admittedly, I didn't know what his name was but I immediately recognized him from Date Movie and Epic Movie. I think he is married to an actress on Ugly Betty. The inte...

An American Girl in London: Work, baby, work... or not.

http://www.anamericangirlinlondon.blogspot.com/2008/06/work-baby-work-or-not.html

Friday, June 13, 2008. Work, baby, work. or not. We have made some big changes recently. Change 1 - I became gainfully unemployed a little over a month ago. At Christmas, Chris and I sat down and looked at our life and we saw that our quality time was becoming increasingly inadequate. It was bad! This being the 40th anniversary season of the KS they are doing about 40 more concerts this year than normal. They could always do that many but they don't choose to for the sake of their families (thank you!

An American Girl in London: November 2005

http://www.anamericangirlinlondon.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html

Friday, November 04, 2005. Not a true college girl anymore. I have discovered this week that am not that college girl any longer who could pull the occasional all-nighter and be fine. I tried once of those infamous all-nighters this week and now I am paying for it. Sick? Yes Ladies and gentleman, I am not in my 20s anymore. Sigh. It was really incredible. It sounded like we were in the same room together and best of all. it's FREE! Posted by: AAGIL 8:23 PM. Tuesday, November 01, 2005.

An American Girl in London: December 2005

http://www.anamericangirlinlondon.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 21, 2005. When I got up today I walked over to my computer and woke it up. My To Do list said this: "You Have Nothing To Do.". Posted by: AAGIL 4:15 PM. Monday, December 19, 2005. I just want to point that G.B. Has stolen something from me! He may CLAIM that he bought it, but I don't buy that for an instant. "Buy" is just a fancy word for "steal". Why would I give up such a prized possession? You shall never experience peace, G.B., until you do right by me. Posted by: AAGIL 5:27 PM.

An American Girl in London: January 2006

http://www.anamericangirlinlondon.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html

Monday, January 30, 2006. I just wanted to put something down to say how proud I am of Steph; it's been a tough week and we both wished we could have been together during it. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers; we still need them for a bit longer as she has to have another operation, but there were so many worse things that could have been happening and which, thank goodness, are not! Only 25 hours to go. Posted by: Chris 5:41 PM. So we should be able to finalise things then. I'm so excited ...

Mary K.' s Blog. God is still a God of Miracles. Alright, to some of you this may seem pretty mundane and simple but to me, I see God's hands all over my current situations and it is pretty darn cool. Let me take you back to the beginning of this whole story of potentially - now a certainty - of coming to the US. Mary K.' s Blog. Life without a home computer. I have been without a home computer for 2 weeks now and it has not been pretty. I am creating this blog entry from the public library in Madison County. Thank the good Lord that they have internet access there. .:clapping, cheering:. It has been interesting to see what it is like to only have limited access to what feels like a life-line. I am trying to learn a moderate to minimal dependance on the computer and internet. It is not easy. Love to all y'all.

Mary K.' s Blog. I know I have disappeared and it is for a good reason, Chelsea Isabel made her way onto the scene. It has been a busy and trying 6 weeks. She is a blessing beyond words. There have been moments of great trial and wounds in places where wounds should not be and are very sensitive. Nevertheless, we are starting to have a fairly regular routine now and the wounds are on the mend, thank the Lord. Since everyone is wanting to see her, I am adding pics of her here for you. An American Girl in France

An American Girl in France. Wednesday, December 4, 2013. But I know this much is true. I know I have family and friends (including those of you reading this) to lean on along the way. I know I have my faith in God and a (sometimes wavering) belief that things will work out as they are supposed to. And I know that I will always have Paris. It will always be a place that I can go to (albeit not as often as I would like) to be reminded of who I am, what I value, and how very blessed I am. We would around th...
