Is of Swiss, German, Dutch, French, Scotch, Irish, Welsh and English ancestry, which has been traced back several centuries on many different lines, and on one line back to Adam and Eve, naming the direct ancestor in every generation back to the Garden of Eden.". Yeah, about that idea . Ding, dong, the checklist. Is dead . at least in paper form or as a spreadsheet. What I'm going to do instead is create a new page on ShowMeAncestors.com. How to make a...

Wednesday, November 28, 2007. National records archive moving to Valmeyer. What would $1000 get me? I know that in five or ten years the answers may be a couple of clicks away. I am also aware of my impatience when I set my mind to something. I really want to know where John HEATON came from and who his parents were. I also badly want to know where the EBERT family came from. Another issue at play is the age and health of certain other family members that I would really enjoy sharing this information with.

All My Branches Genealogy. My Foray into My Midwestern Roots. Laquo; 2008 Year in Review. January 4, 2009 by wendylittrell. Miriam, at AnceStories2. Posted a new word prompt for The New Year. Do you remember the first time you were allowed to stay up and see in the New Year? How old were you? Sometime when I was about 7 or 8. I think anytime before that, I fell asleep. How did you and yours typically spend New Year’s Eve during your youth? Did you watch the ball drop in Times Square on television? What w...

Thursday, August 30, 2007. The Missouri State Archives has added scans of certificates from 1936 to the Missouri Death Certificate Database. If you're still out there, this is for you. Does state licensing of professionals do more harm than good? Bots hate my ancestors? Genealogy.com sold and still sells user-submitted family trees online and on CD. (If I recall correctly, they used to be about $30 each.) The site is now owned by The Generations Network, Ancestry's parent company. Bots hate my ancestors?

Tuesday, January 27, 2009. NBC and Fox have genealogy programs in development according to The Live Feed. Monday, January 05, 2009. I'm a few days tardy with a summation of what was accomplished and how well I did with my plans in 2008, so here it goes:. I'm still slowly combining databases into one. I'm also slowly adding information and images to my site, ShowMeAncestors. A photo of Emil LANKAU. Wednesday, December 24, 2008. What day were you born? Recently asked two questions of his readers:. 1 What day of the week were you born? Tell us how you found out. 2 What has happened in recorded history on your birth date (day and month)? Tell us how you found out, and list five events. I had honestly never thought of this before, but I knew that my parents had to skip the wedding of my mom's brother because I was born that day. So chances were that it was on a weekend. And it was: Saturday.
