The annual spring migration of the Grey Whale will have some 22,000 of these beautiful creatures passing by our shores in March on their way to Alaska (although many opt out of the migration and hang out here all summer). Friday, May 20, 2011. On day two in Tofino, we woke up to a steady rain. It sounded lovely on the roof, but it didn't bode well for outdoor activities. Even this harbour seal seemed unimpressed.
