This is a very interesting set of statues. Apparently in the "old days" of Bremen, this was were the pig farmers would walk the pigs and people would bring out scraps and throw them for the pigs. Fun. This is town square with the cathedral in the background. We even had a few moments of sun! This guy is super sad about the snake biting his hand.

And a Something Something Else. Tuesday, February 26, 2013. The first things we noticed about the coming holiday were the lights and decorations going up EVERYWHERE. The city put up a lot of light displays, flower displays, and spent a month building a huge sidewalk display along the river. It is considered bad luck to cook during Tet, so the stores are PACKED for the few weeks before Tet as everyone gathers supplies and cooks in the days before it starts. It's actually kind of a miracle. The portable hard drive that we had kept all our pictures on had crashed and we thought all these pictures lost forever (or at least until we could get them recovered.). And a Something Something Else. Sunday, June 15, 2014. As mentioned in the previous post, we went on 3 lovely day-trips over the Christmas holiday. The first of these was Lüneburg. It's a scenic little town on the Ilmenau River. There are a ton of Medieval buildings still around, and it has a really charming atmosphere. Anyway - traveling in Germany is really cool. Within an hour train ride, you can see all sorts of amazing little medieval treasures. Stay tuned - more to come next time!

And a Something Something Else. Monday, October 29, 2012. Ok, I'll never get this written if I don't do it now, so here's a short version of our stay in Singapore, with lots of photos:. I had some possible Reverse culture shock - maybe it was too clean? Singapore felt like a museum, look but don't touch! After a day or two I settled down and really liked it though - but I still struggled with the prices. It looked like a city out of a SciFi story - everything looked very new, polished, and uber modern.

On the way home I asked her if she had fun (as that is the whole reason for me to put her in dance), she said."Yes mom, but it is hard". Yup dance is hard and when you are 4 almost 5 it is even harder to learn to listen, follow directions, and get your little body to move the way you want it to. Sometimes having fun is hard work!
