http://andrealypka.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 24, 2010. I noticed that I got caught up on lighting gear lately- beauty dish, softbox, umbrella, etc. Lighting is fun but how about going back to the bare minimum? Yes, the bare flash. I forgot that a bare flash mimics the sunlight so I went out yesterday and shot some pictures of Nicoleta in St. Petersburg. I dragged out all of my gear from the car, 6 flashes, lighstands, reflectors. and then I suddenly decided to use one bare flash for the whole night. Links to this post. Good news- PJ...

Sunday, January 23, 2011. Light Equipment vs. Bad Weather and How to Change the Background. Yesterday I had a photoshoot scheduled on the Pier. It could have easily gone bad because of the chilly and windy weather. Since I like to be mobile and have lightweight equipment, I rely on good friends to help. Thanks to two assistants who beat the wind I could get the work done! Also, my buddies from LightenupandShoot. Created this amazing tutorial. Links to this post. St Pete Model Photoshoot. New Media Photographer: November 2010
http://andrealypka.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 28, 2010. Recently, a PJ student asked me how to become a better photographer. My answer is short and simple: shoot, shoot, shoot and follow other photographers. For example, you can receive photo inspirations from the Photo Blogger. I also look daily at photos on Flickr, newspapers and magazines. I look at the photos and I ask: Is the photo newsworthy? Is this shot different/original? Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). St Petersburg, FL, United States. Cup of Joe Photo.

New Media Photographer: May 2011
http://andrealypka.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 30, 2011. What to put on a main webpage? I have been doing research on what categories to include on a hompage that I design in Dreamweaver. Needles to say, the answer is- IT DEPENDS. First of all, figure out what is the use of a homepage? To sell yourself/ employment purposes (the focus will be on you and your work). To build your freelance business. To showcase your work. Or because you are just bored, you want to learn web design, but you can only learn it if you try to design a site.
