It's the end of October and still hot enough to get wet. Sophia often asks what happened to my other house? It takes me about 20mins to go anywhere (except the grocery store, 10mins). Strangers are nice here and want to talk to you and help you. I've probably talked to more people at the grocery store here in the last few months than the entire 4 years in DC. Yes, saying that and typing it make me feel old. When I look at our engagement photos that I have on a counter in the kitchen I see how young we both looked when we got married. Young or not we're still in LOVE and that's all that matters. To celebrate we went out to eat! The restaurant has a really fun atmosphere with the decorations and all! My beautiful little baby. I attempted to make the "gingerbread" houses out of graham crackers this year. The recipe for the frosting was great. It's just that cutting the graham crackers was really hard and the house ended up looking a little crooked. Oh well the girls had fun anyways. It was survival mode for many days. Things had to be let go of and I had to be ok with that. It was a rough couple months, but I got through it. Amidst all of this our family is so thankful for this new little life that we will be blessed with this July! We hope to find out the sex next month if the baby so chooses to cooperate down there. An attempt at 4 year photos. This one was taken at a park on the way home. She was still cold, but I managed to get a smile out of her. 4 People -1 : August. So this is the first month of the year we don't have a family photo with all 4 of us. I blame it on being gone for a good part of the month to CA. Soaking up nice cool weather, the beach, Disneyland, the County fair, cousins, and Mema and Pepa! We went to a department BBQ over the summer and the girls enjoyed some face painting, swimming and kayaking.

Simone continued to be that happy baby, never without a smile on her face. My birthday came and went and I was just fine with that. Rob had to work that day so it was just me and my girls. We started off Easter week with an egg hunt at the local library. Too bad they only had enough eggs for every child to get one. The photo above is Sophia proudly showing me her 1 egg. It's in there, you just can't see it. Then later in the week we went to a friend's house for an Easter Egg hunt play date. There were plenty of eggs to find and both the girls had fun. After the candy filled egg came the Cascarones. Sophia really enjoyed pouring confetti all over Scarlett's head. Twice a year the LDS church.
