A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life. Saturday, December 18, 2010. I just finished reading Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer in the last few weeks. One of the themes that seemed to occur throughout the book was the imagination of children and how they blow rumors out of proportion. This brought me back to a situation in my childhood that was very similar. Greg and I thought that most of these stories were jibberish, but then again what if they weren't? Sunday, December 12, 2010. A look into the Bucket List. Park, and Wrigley Field ...

A Day in the Life: Give the Piano Man some Credit

http://andrewsdayinthelife.blogspot.com/2010/03/give-piano-man-some-credit.html

A Day in the Life. Thursday, March 11, 2010. Give the Piano Man some Credit. So I've recently been thinking (I know, thinking can be a very dangerous thing to do,) and I've come to the conclusion that Billy Joel should rank in the top five of American born recording artists. Seriously, think of four other American musicians/groups that rank ahead of Joel. That's a given. There's the Beach Boys. Then,(well not then in terms of rank per say. But just then) there's Johnny Cash. And there's Ray Charles.

A Day in the Life: I'm Back!

http://andrewsdayinthelife.blogspot.com/2010/05/im-back.html

A Day in the Life. Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Wow I certainly didn't think that I'd go so long without posting a blog. Oh well. I can't express how happy I am to be done with this most recent semester of college. I would definitely rank it as my hardest semester of college (and my GPA supports that theory). However this leaves me with only one more semester (with basically mop up classes) until I graduate. I am quite elated. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

A Day in the Life: Spring Training??? More Like Middle of the Winter Training

http://andrewsdayinthelife.blogspot.com/2010/03/spring-training-more-like-middle-of.html

A Day in the Life. Wednesday, March 3, 2010. More Like Middle of the Winter Training. Spring Training is underway. In fact, teams are already scrimmaging each other. I've gotta admit I'm really excited for this season. I really feel that Atlanta ( for those who don't know they're like my favoritest team like ummm ever. Has a great shot at making the playoffs for the first time since 2005 ( that 18 inning playoff game still gives me a bad taste in my mouth. Entering their primes, and Jason Heyward. I disc...

Livin' the Dream!: March 2010

http://mjclapham.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Wednesday, March 31, 2010. I'm in the processing mode of my bachelor party weekend. A lot of emotions came out. That's what I'm thinking about. I keep telling myself they are good and that I need to allow them to come. That's not a normal response from me. I'm learning. My bachelor party was a few weeks back, but it was a great time. Lots of good buddies came, two came from out of town and others from the Carson City/Reno area. I have a lot of good buddies. I'm truly blessed. I'm looking forward to this ...

Livin' the Dream!: May 2010

http://mjclapham.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, May 16, 2010. Nicole and I purchased some new stuff last weekend and got it today. A couch and a bedroom set. We love it. It changed our house around, completely. We also got to do some shopping for free on Saturday. Gift certificates are awesome! Thanks everyone who got us one. It's helped furnish the pad. Frankly, I think it looks great too. Friday, May 14, 2010. I love the RDO. Here's why. I'm looking forward to a new book today. I'm reading one now called. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Blue Lik...

Livin' the Dream!: A few books & more...

http://mjclapham.blogspot.com/2011/10/few-books-more.html

Saturday, October 29, 2011. A few books and more. I'm listening to the Yankee Years. Right now, by Joe Torre. I'm thoroughly entertained. I'm an even bigger fan of Derek Jeter now. Next up will be one of the old time favorites, John Grisham. I've also got The Blind Side. I couldn't fully get into it. Some of it was intriguing and other parts just lagged on. On the subject of Moneyball, I need to see that movie. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Walks to Clear the Brain. In and Out Burger.

Livin' the Dream!: November 2010

http://mjclapham.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Friday, November 12, 2010. I just put the guitar away, I'm sippin' a Shock Top. Reminiscing the last week. That's how I'd describe my life at work. More so, I feel like I struggle doing a good job because I've got so much on my plate. Why? Well, I don't feel like I put enough time into each case. I feel rushed. We spent the afternoon and evening with Ron and Julie for our Veteran's Day Holiday. It was a nice and relaxing day. It's always fun getting together. The sushi at Kim Lee's was, how do you say it?

Livin' the Dream!: July 2010

http://mjclapham.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Saturday, July 31, 2010. A different kind of week. It's quite the attention getter when you receive a text that says "dude, is your house okay? Or, a voicemail that says "Matt, there's been a fire and your house is was involved.". Monday, 7/26/10, that's precisely how it happened. They take us to our house and there is insulation everywhere, the smell of smoke (obviously) and water all over. Nothing appears too damaged until we walk into our guest bathroom. Wow! We're being optimistic in our situation&#4...

Livin' the Dream!

http://mjclapham.blogspot.com/2011/07/im-back.html

Sunday, July 24, 2011. I'm back. I'm not sure for how long though. I look at my last post, which I think was June 6th, and wonder why I don't blog more often. Then I think of what is happening in my life and I remember why I don't. I always tell myself that I'm going to make blogging something that I keep up on but in the end it never turns out that way. It's something I enjoy so why is it so hard? Well, I guess it's just not really important when I look at the things that I use my time for.

Livin' the Dream!: May 2011

http://mjclapham.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Monday, May 16, 2011. I must say, I'm a proud husband and a proud daddy. Like every man, they believe they have the greatest family ever. I'm no different. I love being a husband and a father. Especially when I get picture perfect moments like this of my two favorite people. I'm preparing for my next half marathon. September 25th, 2011, Ben, myself and maybe a few others will be doing the 13.1 at the Lake Tahoe Half Marathon. I'm looking forward to it. Sunday, May 15, 2011. Have you changed your style.

Livin' the Dream!: October 2010

http://mjclapham.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, October 31, 2010. I'm enjoying the bits and pieces of the World Series that I'm getting to watch this year. Especially since they're winning. I've been a fan since I was a kid, when Matt Williams was a rookie and #10. Anyway, I hope this is their year. Ben played a song last week that is one of my absolute favorites. It really got me thinking about things that some of our family is currently going through. The song is. Let Everything that has Breath Praise the Lord. Praise You in the morning,.

Livin' the Dream!: Conversation/B. Posey/and more...

http://mjclapham.blogspot.com/2011/06/conversationb-poseyand-more.html

Monday, June 06, 2011. Conversation/B. Posey/and more. A lot of interesting conversation can occur during a half hour commute. It's not that far but it's far enough. My wife and I commute a half hour together every day to work and it's usually a good time. Sometimes we read together, we'll talk serious stuff, listen to Colin Cowherd, Dan Patrick or Bill and Connie on 96.5. Occassionally, Nicole might take a nap after a hard night with "The Man! It just depends. But again, it's a good time. I'm about ten ...

Livin' the Dream!: December 2010

http://mjclapham.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Sunday, December 12, 2010. It's been a big week for the Clapham's. Busy work days, long drives, big purchases and a full weekend. It's great though and I wouldn't change any of it. The biggest addition to our lives. A new ride! Nicole found it on-line, we called to verify it was not sold, sent a friend over to see it for us and then Saturday morning drove to Fresno, Ca., to purchase it. A down and back trip, with a lunch in the middle with Scotty and Heather, makes for a long day! Walks to Clear the Brain.

Every Second Counts

8220;One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure its worth watching.”. This all started from signing up for and completing the 2011 Death Race in Pittsfield, Vermont. During the 48 hour race I encountered 3 mountains, 1 river 120 some odd logs to split, 5 gallon pales of water, 100lb back packs and way more mud and freezing water than any human should ever be exposed to. Today I am preparing for the next big adventure. Come join me on this incredible journey! Wednesday, May 2, 2012. We walke...
