visible rhetoric: it's not yours - 17th week Thursday
http://andyesperancilla.blogspot.com/2015/08/its-not-yours-17th-week-thursday.html
Saturday, August 8, 2015. It's not yours - 17th week Thursday. Today in the book of exodus we see what the Israelites call the shekinah, the cloud that covers the tent, the cloud that becomes a pillar that guides them during the day, the cloud that becomes a pillar of fire that guides them during the night. The shekinah, the cloud, the glory of God is God’s presence to his people. Two things therefore from laudato si. Second, Shekinah, the cloud which hides and at the same time reveals God’s presen...

visible rhetoric: when miracles happen - 17th Sunday B
http://andyesperancilla.blogspot.com/2015/08/when-miracles-happen-17th-sunday-b.html
Saturday, August 8, 2015. When miracles happen - 17th Sunday B. When does a miracle of provisions happen? The first reading for this Sunday is composed only of two verses but it gives us I believe the conditions that make miracles of provisions happen. What are these conditions? First A man came from Baal-shalishah bringing to Elisha,. Third When Elisha told the servant give it to the people to eat, the servant protested – how can 20 loaves feed 100 men? How can we share this with everyone? Also with the...

visible rhetoric: envy is leprosy - 18th week Tuesday
http://andyesperancilla.blogspot.com/2015/08/envy-is-leprosy-18th-week-tuesday.html
Saturday, August 8, 2015. Envy is leprosy - 18th week Tuesday. Today in our first reading from the book of numbers, we see how jealousy unravels itself even among God’s chosen ones – in Moses, Miriam and Aaron. Let us have a look into this. First Miriam and Aaron made it appear that they were complaining about the wife of Moses who was a Cushite and therefore a foreigner. Amo ini kuno abi ang rason sang away. Do you notice that? Anhon ya na abi kay mas talented sia sa imo? And lastly Miriam got it wrong ...

visible rhetoric: not a conquered but a freed people - 16th week Friday
http://andyesperancilla.blogspot.com/2015/08/not-conquered-but-freed-people-16th.html
Saturday, August 8, 2015. Not a conquered but a freed people - 16th week Friday. Our first reading today says - “I, the LORD am your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery.” These first words are very important because they make the difference as to how we look at the commandments of God. If we were a conquered people then these commandments would be a burden which we will carry grudgingly. Keep holy the Lord’s day. Ambot a masimba naman ta. You shall not have other gods bes...

visible rhetoric: the two mothers of Moses - 15th week Tuesday
http://andyesperancilla.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-two-mothers-of-moses-15th-week.html
Saturday, August 8, 2015. The two mothers of Moses - 15th week Tuesday. We continue to reflect on our first reading, this time from the book of Exodus. Today we reflect on the choices of two women which made Moses who he was. The first woman I am referring to is the mother of Moses, the real mother. And the second woman is the princess, Pharaoh’s daughter, the adoptive mother of Moses. The world would have been different. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). visible rhetoric: "getting old" girls and boys - Memorial Mass of the Assumption
http://andyesperancilla.blogspot.com/2015/08/getting-old-girls-and-boys-memorial.html
Saturday, August 8, 2015. Getting old" girls and boys - Memorial Mass of the Assumption. But that does not change the fact that every time we gather we are not just old boys and old girls – we are getting old boys and getting old girls. I would like to reflect with you two points on our first reading today from the first letter of Paul to the Corinthians. Only when we die with Christ, only when we rise with Christ can God become all in all in us. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Reconciling - 14th wee...

visible rhetoric: its's the ego - 16th week Saturday
http://andyesperancilla.blogspot.com/2015/08/itss-ego-16th-week-saturday.html
Saturday, August 8, 2015. Its's the ego - 16th week Saturday. We are all clay jars and God has placed his treasures in these jars to serve his purpose. Our responsibilities can tempt us and pull us into two directions. First, we can be tempted to be proud. This is what I have done, this is what I have achieved, this is what I did. In pride we attribute to ourselves what is not truly ours. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Romulus kag remus vs pedro kag pablo - btac viejo fiesta 2016. Not a conquered bu...

visible rhetoric: the prophet job on the death of ruby
http://andyesperancilla.blogspot.com/2015/06/job-on-death-of-ruby.html
Monday, June 22, 2015. The prophet job on the death of ruby. 8221; These questions were not asked in some emotionally charged exchange we often see in teleseryes. No. These were straightforward questions, an attempt I believe to deal with what she was going through as rationally as possible – typical I guess of Ruby. “Can I pray to God for death, can I ask him to take away my life.”. Only when you have that faith can you be ready to meet God face to face. To Manong Rene, to Jinky and Din you are also goi...

visible rhetoric: its not just the environment - 17th week Tuesday
http://andyesperancilla.blogspot.com/2015/08/its-not-just-environment-17th-week.html
Saturday, August 8, 2015. Its not just the environment - 17th week Tuesday. Our gospel presupposes that we have heard before this the parable of the weeds. It is a parable told by Jesus about a farmer sowing good seed in his field. But in the night his enemies came and sowed weeds without his knowing. And so it to pass that in the field wheat and weeds grew together. Some of you might have read a book by Robert Fulghum entitled,. All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten. Imo na ya, indi bala?
