Reliable Cambridge builder: cantabrigiensis
http://cantabrigiensis.livejournal.com/211028.html
If this isn't allowed, please delete this. However,I've noticed that people post asking for reliable local builders and so on. Roger and I are quite keen to have some plumber recommendations and it would be good if people could comment if they have a reliable plumber. He also, without being asked, did several little mending jobs round the house including re-hanging our wonky door and fitting a brand new cat flap. John has also done work for. And can be reached on :. Post a new comment. Post a new comment.

Further to my previous post. November 10th, 2010. Opinions on the optimum reading order for the Vorkosigan saga, for three different cases, please:. A) for rather forgetful fan re-reading;. B) for 13 year-old who is allegedly less geeky than us, but discovered her current love The Big Bang Theory. While googling Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock. C) for 10-year-old who only ever seems to read things by accident, wildly age-inappropriate or not. 2010-11-10 09:32 pm (UTC). And Ethan of Athos. Jo Walton wrot...

http://woolymonkey.livejournal.com/137919.html
4 apes, 2 cats. the tortoise moved out but we have frogs in the greenhouse and garden critters. Meet Tia, our next feline overlord. Meet Tia, our next feline overlord. Not so little monkeys. Society (because it exists). It appears Tia (whose name means Princess AND Goddess) would like to move in with us tomorrow. We will endeavour to prove satisfactory. She was previously living with her 3 grown up kittens, but the ape service was inadequate, especially in the grooming department. See previous reply....

Holiday reading. - The Whore of Mensa gets her P45. Sep 26th, 2011 10:38 pm. Has anyone yet noted that David Mitchells The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet. Is almost certainly a parallel world counter-history novel? Not to mention having at root a common sf trope I first read in Norman Spinrads Bug Jack Barron. Anyway is stunningly good - review to follow. Ps OMG Wachowski brothers filming Cloud Atlas! 2011-09-27 04:12 pm (UTC). A new David Mitchell novel - hurrah! 2011-09-27 05:29 pm (UTC).

Travels past, travels future - News from Nowhere. Travels past, travels future. Aug 7th, 2015 10:18 pm. Travel supplement last Saturday offers a guide to Sardinia. Ostensibly about the beaches, but with alluring descriptions of the nearby villages, because you've got to eat, haven't you? Naturally I want to go there - it's an island; I want to go to all the islands - but not this year. And we were in France, land of the elaborate horticultural sculpture on roundabouts. Edited (for once) to remove:. Hunh ...

Planting my garden - Caroline M
http://coth.livejournal.com/296726.html
26th Jul, 2015 at 9:54 AM. Last week I bought 5 plants at the Open Garden (Crocosmia for £3.50 and the others for 50p each). I will be planting:. In the Western bed, which is shaded by a wall to the West but gets morning and high summer midday sun. I will not be planting:. Both of which have potential to become invasive. Although I will put the fern, which is very pretty, in a pot. Not sure what to do with the Vinca. 6 comments Leave a comment. 26th Jul, 2015 09:19 (UTC). 26th Jul, 2015 18:25 (UTC).

A message for Mothers' Day - Alison
http://bohemiancoast.livejournal.com/161371.html
A message for Mothers' Day. April 3rd, 2011. Eventually, South Africa's apartheid system grew too much for the 'civilised' world to tolerate, and the country was collectively shunned until they sorted it out. It's not good enough to say 'but they like it that way'; actually, there's plenty of evidence that this isn't true, and even if it were true for the majority, that's not good enough. It's like saying 'because most women prefer to have long hair, we'll ban short hair'. 2011-04-03 10:30 am (UTC).
