http://anenglishgardenvt.com/post/117680931856/the-paper-clock

An English Garden In Vermont. Ian is re-establishing our Paper Clock business. It was a product Eric designed and manufactured in 1984 when we lived in England. It was very successful and we shipped them all over the world. We have some of the original clocks for sale on Etsy. This is the link: http:/ tinyurl.com/k6ta9hj. Larr; Next post. Vermont Food and Garden: The New Garden Year

http://verfoodie.blogspot.com/2011/02/new-garden-year.html

Vermont Food and Garden. Tuesday, February 8, 2011. The New Garden Year. My, my. Once the garden started last spring I seemed to be too busy to write. Maybe this should be an off-season blog, and I'll let you know about pests, diseases, and give some recipes, and then garden while the sun shines. We're snowed under with a dangerous amount of snow, and it seems like a good time to dream garden dreams. Will write more soon! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The New Garden Year. Vermont Food and Garden: Cucumber Beetles and Bacterial Wilt

http://verfoodie.blogspot.com/2011/06/cucumber-beetles-and-bacterial-wilt.html

Vermont Food and Garden. Thursday, June 2, 2011. Cucumber Beetles and Bacterial Wilt. These pictures show bacterial wilt. It can start rather innocuously. The first picture shows normal leaves and then, at the bottom, a few that are wilted but which don't look awful. As soon as a day later the leaves and then the whole plant will wilt, then turn dry and crisp. This may start on just a part of a leaf, as in the second picture. Are about 1/4 inch long, with a rectangular back striped yellow and black.

Vermont Food and Garden: Saving Milkweed

http://verfoodie.blogspot.com/2010/05/saving-milkweed.html

Vermont Food and Garden. Thursday, May 20, 2010. Milkweed is one of the most beautiful flowers we can grow in the garden, and the fragrance is intoxicating. It's also food for monarch butterfly larvae (it's the only food the caterpillars eat). This site. So I leave as many milkweed as I possibly can. This year I designated a spot for them, approximately where they were last year - but instead they have moved (or been dragged by the tiller? Labels: All Garden Posts. August 2, 2010 at 12:00 PM. Vermont Food and Garden: March 2011

http://verfoodie.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Vermont Food and Garden. Tuesday, March 8, 2011. A Very Different March. I usually get stuck with no more space for the seedlings, and that sets them back. Keeping them transplanted into new spaces each month is as important as starting them early; seeds started in March can still be a couple of inches tall in May if they haven't been transplanted and fed in a timely manner. Vermont Food and Garden: Transplanting to the garden

http://verfoodie.blogspot.com/2010/05/transplanting-to-garden.html

Vermont Food and Garden. Thursday, May 13, 2010. Transplanting to the garden. This weekend will see the major start of transplanting in our community gardens. Here are some of the things I think are most important for successful transplanting:. 1) HARDEN OFF THE PLANTS. 2) COOL, CALM, AND CLOUDY. See 3 entries earlier) That's not necessary if you're mulching. If the stems are spindly then planting deeper also protects the stem from whipping about in the wind. 4) REMOVE THE BOTTOM LEAVES! Vermont Food and Garden: Root Maggots

http://verfoodie.blogspot.com/2010/05/root-maggots.html

Vermont Food and Garden. Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Some folks in the community gardens haven't had any trouble at all with their radishes, and others of us have had. Considering these are flies you wouldn't think they'd stay in a plot, so I'm not sure what the reason is. It might be a timing issue. Labels: All Garden Posts. Mary F. C. Pratt. May 26, 2010 at 6:42 AM. May 26, 2010 at 9:18 AM. The photos really help in identification. Thanks for thinking of taking these last year. June 14, 2010 at 4:24 PM.

Vermont Food and Garden: November 2009

http://verfoodie.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Vermont Food and Garden. Wednesday, November 25, 2009. ASPARAGUS WRAPPED WITH PHYLLO. This is another great appetizer, simple to make, and suitable for a formal occasion as well as casual snacking. It keeps at room temperature and travels well, so it's one of my favorites when I need to bring an appetizer somewhere. It needs to be made the day you are serving it to preserve the crispness of the phyllo. You'll need asparagus,. 1/2 package of Athens phyllo dough. Salt and pepper optional. Wrap each spear w...

An English Gentleman

Old World romance tutelage for the modern urban suitor. July 10th, 2013. Dear English Gentleman,. At the moment I just continue to ignore him and not speak to him but it seems to only make him try harder. Is he trying to get a response from me? Does he want my attention? He broke up with me though. Playing games, trying to get a reaction from the other person, strategising about what to do in order to provoke the other person into acting a certain way, well, that seems like control to me, not love.
