An Expatriate in Shanghai
An Expatriate in Shanghai. Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Skewered Squids and Sandy Shores. But this weekend was perfect. Super warm and sunny. We decided to go to the beach. Now I know what you’re thinking, beach in Shanghai? You’d certainly be right to think so. Beaches are not really a Chinese thing unless you make your way down to the southeast Asian Chinese coastline, Hainan, Hong Kong, etc. The greater Shanghai area has some. The photo taking was annoying though. In many parts of China, especially whe...

An Expatriate's Plate | A Taste of my World….
An Expatriate's Plate. A Taste of my World…. Fondue Night at Savu. February 24, 2013. Before I begin to write about our experience at Savu in Helsinki, briefly I just want to say this is my first post in many months due to a variety of reasons. I plan on posting regularly from now on though! Also there are 2 sauces that come with all of this plenty, a light and smooth tomato sauce and a smoky garlic sauce. The fondue menu is a fixed price menu for 2 or more people. Savu serves its own traditional men...

anexpatriatewithacamera | Just another WordPress.com site
Just another WordPress.com site. February 20, 2012. Because we travel pretty frequently,. Have a pet, things get a little difficult sometimes. It kills to leave her, she’s like the baby of the family. February 19, 2012. After having...

An Expat's Yarn
Life, Work, Love and Yarn. Wednesday, 3 February 2010. Last week I was thrilled to write a guest post for expat HAREM. The hub for global citizens. It's difficult, at first, to put such a myriad of cultural considerations, feelings and experiences together in a few short sentences for such a large readership. especially one which consists of people with similar nomadic features and with such a broad range of experiences. A readership which is very strong and self-defining. Labels: capital of culture.
