Quilting Progress and Update on Ricky. I have finally started working on my quilts again and it really makes me feel like I am doing something worthwhile. I have finished the blocks on a sampler of the month called "A Chocolate Sampler". I added about 12 extra blocks on the outside to make it big enough for our bed.

Well some of us have been really busy. The Irish colleen has been paper piecing like a mad thing and has finally finshed this epic creation:. How fabulous is that? Not content with just that she also produced a celtic quilt. Another great job Irish Colleen although the photo doesnt really do it justice. Cushion with a cat.

Thursday, August 6, 2015. Just finished quilting, attached sleeve and label. Cynthia England design - Stitch in time pattern. The size of this miniature is 20" x 16". It consists of more than 500 pieces stitched all from the back. It's not applique! This method called picture piecing by Cynthia England. You can see it in real at our local quilt show next week "Quilts in Boro 2015! Please come and vote for your favorite quilts! No judgement, only viewers choice! Knit for the Littlest TT. I did sew a knit dress with my machine and my serger but am not entirely pleased with the result. I have never been very good at measuring and basting etc. ( I dont do either! Double needle, triple stretch stitch. Pity I cant serge off the excess there! A view for a local hero. February 23, 2010.

Thursday, July 23, 2015. No math method" of making geometry pattern. Yesterday I was getting ready to teach the class on my "No math method of making geometry patterns". Forget about inches and calculation, all you can do is just fold your freezer paper and use the bend of it as a stitching line! This was my sample. And this is what we've done all together today! The most exciting moment was when we joined all 12 segments in one piece! Good job, girls! Thank you for learning with me this method!
