A Slice of the Pi Life: July 2013
http://asliceofthepilife.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
A Slice of the Pi Life. Monday, July 8, 2013. Change can be bad. Like that time in middle school when I cut my hair so short it didn't even touch my ears. (I will not post pictures of that decision.). Or change can be good. Like all the things we've been working on here at the farm. When we moved in, the back porch steps led straight to the well head. Now, the steps are wider with railing on both sides, and the well head is hidden under the whiskey barrel. We put in a new mailbox. Yes, change is good!

A Slice of the Pi Life: Happy Easter!
http://asliceofthepilife.blogspot.com/2015/04/happy-easter.html
A Slice of the Pi Life. Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Easter festivities lasted a couple of weeks. Jeremiah was more engaged in all the activities this year, so that made it more fun. (Which means there are lots of pictures of him on this post.). The Easter Bunny did a meet-and-greet. We got a great photo with the Easter Bunny! That has become a tradition now. See last year's post. Micah didn't think it was that bad. Easter morning, the Easter Bunny left eggs for Jeremiah from his room to his Easter basket&...

A Slice of the Pi Life: October 2013
http://asliceofthepilife.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
A Slice of the Pi Life. Tuesday, October 22, 2013. September was the month of travel for us. Most were short, weekend trips. But one was a bucket list destination: Washington, D.C! Luckily, we were there the week prior to the government shutdown, so we were able to visit all of the obligatory museums, monuments, and memorials. We even found a Pi Pizzeria! That's our kind of place! Sorghum maze. We had a great time and will definitely be back next year! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Our Journey of Love.

A Slice of the Pi Life: March 2015
http://asliceofthepilife.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
A Slice of the Pi Life. Monday, March 23, 2015. Christmas is my favorite holiday, and Easter is a very close second. But the third best holiday for the Pi Family is Pi Day! In case you're not familiar with Pi Day, it rolls around each year on March 14th, or 3-14. Which correlates nicely to the approximation for pi of 3.14. However, this year's Pi Day was the best one since 1915. March 14th, 2015, 9:26:53 am. 3.141592653. So in honor of the Pi Day of the century, we went all out for the celebration. Jerem...

A Slice of the Pi Life. Saturday, July 18, 2015. Nine years ago, we adopted our first child, Hanna. From the moment we met her, she was a spitfire. (Can you see the pink on her nose? As she got older, the pink turned to black.). This picture was taken the day we brought her home. We joked that she never napped again! Through the years, we've gone on many adventures together. A few years ago, she retired and moved to the midwest. After the boys and I had breakfast, I decided I had to go out searching for ...

A Slice of the Pi Life: August 2014
http://asliceofthepilife.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
A Slice of the Pi Life. Monday, August 11, 2014. In my last post, I recapped our July vacation to Minnesota. Here is the promised follow-up post of the activities I packed for Jeremiah. At the time of our trip, Jeremiah was about 15 1/2 months old. We split the 14 hours of travel time (each way! Into two days. Call me "old school," but I want to try and provide activities that are engaging and educational. I scoured pinterest for ideas prior to the trip. (How did anyone survive before pinterest? My mom s...

A Slice of the Pi Life: June 2013
http://asliceofthepilife.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
A Slice of the Pi Life. Saturday, June 22, 2013. I finally decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon. If you know me at all, you know I'm never the first to do anything. I like to wait and let others figure it out so I don't have to. Or if it isn't broke, why fix it? I think I've not started a blog sooner because I thought my life was boring. The same mundane things as everyone else. Who would want to read that? But now we have a baby and a farm, so there's more material to keep you entertained. Picture ...

A Slice of the Pi Life: Easter Festivities
http://asliceofthepilife.blogspot.com/2014/04/easter-festivities.html
A Slice of the Pi Life. Thursday, April 24, 2014. Last year, Easter was the last day of March, so this was Jeremiah's first Easter. The festivities spanned two different weekends and two different states. There was an Easter Egg Hunt at Josh's work the week before Easter, and then we traveled to Kansas to visit family on Easter weekend. Meeting the Easter Bunny didn't go so well. But he did great hunting for eggs! He picked them up and put them in his basket all on his own.. The earliest Jewish polemic ...
