It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year: 10 Things I Love About Christmas | angloyankophile
http://www.angloyankophile.com/2016/12/its-most-wonderful-time-of-year-10.html
Thursday, December 8, 2016. It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year: 10 Things I Love About Christmas. 1 Bad Hallmark movies on Netflix. All the bad Hallmark movies. They all seem to involve secret princes and princesses from made-up countries like Montsaurai ('Once Upon a Holiday'). And Cordinia ('A Royal Christmas'), but they're perfect for putting on in the background while decorating the tree or wrapping presents. 2 Buying a Christmas tree. And then we took about 5 breaks during our 7-minute walk ho...
A Taste of Christmas at The Duke York Square | angloyankophile
http://www.angloyankophile.com/2016/11/a-taste-of-christmas-at-duke-york-square.html
Monday, November 21, 2016. A Taste of Christmas at The Duke York Square. The Duke of York Square. Is one of my favorite places in London to eat, shop, and generally hang out. The Saatchi Gallery is a must-visit for any art enthusiast and Partridges. Food market is somewhat of an institution for American expats in London, thanks to its plentiful supply of American products (I go there for my Lucky Charms fix). Not done with my Christmas shopping - I really wanted to finish it early this year! I also loved...
Winter Sun, Zero Jet Lag: Tenerife | angloyankophile
http://www.angloyankophile.com/2016/02/winter-sun-zero-jet-lag-tenerife.html
Thursday, February 25, 2016. Winter Sun, Zero Jet Lag: Tenerife. I don't know what it's like in your part of the world right now, but in London, there's a point in February where I just can't take any more grey skies. Any more black opaque tights, pulled on for the billionth time in the dark. Any more cold. We didn't want to sightsee; we weren't looking for "foodie" hotspots. We were just there to relax. And when I say, "relax", I mean - relax. Oh - but I did find second dream home, on my dream street:.
Salish Lodge & Spa, Snoqualmie Falls | angloyankophile
http://www.angloyankophile.com/2016/05/salish-lodge-spa-snoqualmie-falls.html
Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Salish Lodge and Spa, Snoqualmie Falls. Last week, my parents and I drove up to Snoqualmie Falls for a little staycation and it was so beautiful! I hadn't been since I was small and had forgotten how dramatic the Falls were - after all, they served as the setting for David Lynch's Twin Peaks. And the luxury hotel Salish Lodge and Spa. Where we stayed) doubled as the exterior of the fictional The Great Northern Hotel. However, it was the exquisite food that won me over at Salish Lod...
Ultimate Rest and Relaxation: Les Sources De Caudalie, Bordeaux | angloyankophile
http://www.angloyankophile.com/2016/04/ultimate-rest-and-relaxation-les.html
Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Ultimate Rest and Relaxation: Les Sources De Caudalie, Bordeaux. I arrived to Les Sources de Caudalie. In Bordeaux with a cold. Not a chills and fever kind of cold, but the pervasive, underlying type of cold that makes you feel run-down and tired for a couple of weeks - just enough to be annoying. Plus, it was raining. So, in addition to having a cold, I was actually. Bath products and skincare samples, having been a fan of the brand for such a long time. The fresh produce cultiv...

Thursday, June 7, 2012. Hot Child in the City, er, village. When we got the news we were moving to England, I had lots of emotions, but one really, really positive thing I thought was "I CAN HAVE NORMAL HAIR IN THE SUMMER" - true, my hair is totally fine in this weather (hardly any humidity, WOOP WOOP! But as with most stuff, every positive has a negative. Why, for the sake of everything holy, do these people not think air conditioning is a necessity? Posted by charlee crowley english. a wife called chuck: insert clever title here
http://abridecalledchuck.blogspot.com/2014/05/insert-clever-title-here.html
Thursday, May 1, 2014. Insert clever title here. I was standing in the laundry room of my parents’ house with my mom just a week or so after dad had been brought home by ambulance for in home hospice care. She said something like “….but your father and I knew this was coming, so we have been preparing for it….” and it took me by surprise. “what do you mean, you KNEW? A terrible one. I was a terrible daughter. At least I felt like one. Posted by charlee crowley english. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Beautifully Lost Weekend - Renegade Craft Fair. Sunday, November 15, 2015. Last weekend I was in the mood to wander around a food market in London. Then the rain came down. Luckily for me Jamie of Angloyankophile. That was taking place at the Truman Brewery that weekend, and I just knew I had to go and check it out! The room was full a whole host of inspiring creative businesses. From brilliantly illustrated stationery to beautifully constructed terrariums. I was in craft heaven! I have always, always.

A blog for people who love vegetarian food. Friday, 2 March 2012. Now I know the title may not sound too appetising, but I assure you this is great comfort food territory. Last week I just had a craving for it, so thought I would share the wonderful simple and yet very comforting dish of baked beans curry with you. 1 can of baked beans. 1/4 tsp. of mustard seeds. 1/2 tsp. of cumin seeds. 1/4 tsp. of turmeric. 1/2 tsp. of chilli powder (or a bit less if you don't like it too spicy). 1 tbsp. of oil.

A blog for people who love vegetarian food. Friday, 24 February 2012. I love tapas, and I love Italian food. So on Saturday I decided to make an Italian tapas for dinner. There is little else more satisfying then snacking on food with a bottle of wine. I absolutely love the combination of tomatoes, olive oil, bread and cheese. Just writing it makes my mouth water. So here are the six recipes of my vegetarian tapas, and it can all be done in 45 mins or less. 1 ciabatta loaf; torn into chunks. Salt and fre...
Veggieofile: September 2011

A blog for people who love vegetarian food. Friday, 23 September 2011. I've been in the Amalfi Coast, which explains the absence of posts of late. After Indian my favourite cuisine is Italian. I love them both for the opposite reasons. Italian food is best because of its simplicity; simple ingredients married together to make fantastic dishes. Indian food I love because of the complexity of many spices that makes a great taste. Two bottles of passata. 1 clove of garlic; peeled,. A good handful of basil.

A blog for people who love vegetarian food. Tuesday, 20 March 2012. What to do with polenta? I like polenta but I've never really known what to do with it. I know the Italians use it a lot, but most of the recipes I've seen require a lot of stirring and also require you to stir it for around 30 mins. So when my Mum showed me how to make spicy polenta in under 10 minutes I was all ears and eyes. This recipe is tasty, quick and simple. 1 tbspn. of vegetable/sunflower oil. 1/4 tsp. of mustard seeds. On Satu...

Friday, January 6, 2017. Where to Stay in Amsterdam: The Hoxton. I'm no stranger to The Hoxton: John and I first stayed at the Shoreditch location years. Ago It was his birthday, and I pretended to grab the bill at the restaurant, while I actually went to the front desk check in, before surprising him with a mini London staycation. We had such a great time in the perfectly proportioned, design-led rooms, that I vowed to go back someday. And I did: for the occasional drink and pop-up event. At night, a we...
