Amanda and Mindi's Journalism Blog: MTV's "Skins"
http://aandmblog.blogspot.com/2011/01/mtvs-skins.html
Amanda and Mindi's Journalism Blog. Wednesday, January 26, 2011. I think people don't like this because Skins doesn't sugarcoat anything, they show it how it is. I've been watching the UK version since last year and it hasn't influenced my behavior in the slightest. You can appreciate something for more than what is on it's surface. Its unpredictable. I think this is what makes the show memorable and stand out. USA Skins season 1 pilot. UK Skins series 1 pilot. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Amanda and Mindi's Journalism Blog. Sunday, February 27, 2011. The Illumination Project was hosted by LBCC and put on by Portland Community College. There was a nice write up in the Commuter. I have witnessed segregation in my husband's home town. Not the separation of bathrooms and water fountains, but the clear divisions of white neighborhood, black neighborhood, Cuban neighborhood. This show didn't go into larger race issues, but personal race issues. One very positive thing that came of the play is t...
