Of NRIs and Maamis in the same world. October 21, 2009. In the night, we had some sparklers saved from last year’s July 4 purchases. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it. At the end of the long day, she told me she liked Deepavali – that made all the trouble so worthwhile! And now for some pictures. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Infinite Incoherence: Rant
http://mrrunningblues.blogspot.com/2009/10/rant.html
Monday, October 26, 2009. To all those people who speak Hindi and/or other native languages in a professional environment, please refrain from doing so for the following simple reasons:. 1 You are not in India. 2 Nobody except Indians understand what's being said. 3 I'm tired of explaining to non-Indians that there's no such language as 'Indian'. 4 There's a reason why they make cell phones portable. If you must converse in a language other than English, please take your cell phone to a private area.

Infinite Incoherence: Mumbai Ka King Kaun?
http://mrrunningblues.blogspot.com/2009/10/mumbai-ka-king-kaun.html
Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Mumbai Ka King Kaun? It's been six long years. I miss everything back home. Topping the list is the immediate access to vital newsbreaks about Bollywood that would appear on the ticker of any TV channel. But to serve as a gratifying consolation, the Internet has helped a great deal in overcoming this sense of isolation. Nitish found a groundbreaking news article. In my search for more news about the greatest actor Bollywood has ever seen, I stumbled on this interesting article.

Politics – A Profession? | Perceptions
https://shivnarayan.wordpress.com/2009/03/18/politics-a-profession
The way I see everything! Politics – A Profession? This post is loosely inspired by the TATA Tea ad. Where this politician goes to ask for votes and a voter asks him for his qualification and work experience the the important ‘job’ that he is embarking upon. The politician laughs at the voter, asking him what job is the voter referring to. The voter responds, “The job to run the country”. Do politicians in other countries view politics as a profession? Here are the results:. By buying the rights to ̵...

Heights of house cleaning | Perceptions
https://shivnarayan.wordpress.com/2009/03/27/peaks-in-house-cleaning
The way I see everything! Heights of house cleaning. Most companies refer to firing people as ‘house cleaning’. But Citi group has taken it to a completely new level. This article here. Mentions that they are going to fire (believe it or not)… Office cleaners! I am not sure about the authenticity of the article, but if it is true, then it is darned funny! 🙂 So, they have the money to pay incentives to their executives, but cannot afford to keep their office cleaners! Sri Rambles...: Hope and Loneliness
http://sriramble.blogspot.com/2009/05/loneliness.html
A rhapsodic ramble of my thoughts and life's little quirks. Saturday, May 16, 2009. I read this today:. I have conflicting thoughts on the sentence ". Never hope to find people who will understand you, someone to fill that space". Yes, it is very hard to find such person - someone who is in sync. I strongly agree with the last sentence ". The best you’ll ever do is to understand yourself.". It echoes my views in the last para of this post. May 17, 2009 at 3:35 PM. Hope is good thing. I agree with the quo...

Election 2009’s turning point?? | Perceptions
https://shivnarayan.wordpress.com/2009/03/27/election-2009s-turning-point
The way I see everything! Election 2009’s turning point? LK Advani proved yet once again, why he is the Chanakya. As a leader, and the prime minister of this country, I have my reservations against him. But, as a politician and a strategist, yesterday he delivered what could possibly be a crucial blow to the government by calling the Prime Minister to a televised national debate. The Indian Election Tamasha is like a James Hadley Chase thriller! Friday, March 27, 2009 at 3:28 pm. Heights of house cleaning.
