hello pineapples: April 2010
http://hellopineapples.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
A blog of craft and little consequence. Halifax Crafters Spring Fling Recap. It was another busy weekend with the Halifax Crafters. The show looked great. It just keeps getting better. I think I've learned my lesson the hard way: your weekend will be so much better if you actually get some sleep. I pulled an all-nighter on Friday and was exhausted on Saturday. On the upside - I had. To stand at my table (which I prefer to do anyway), because whenever I tried to sit, I'd fall asleep. Oops. Inspiration and...

The skirt of my alice b toklas: July 2008
http://theskirtofalicebtoklas.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
The skirt of my alice b toklas. What's going on up there. Monday, July 28, 2008. Over the weekend I read The Book of Negroes in the backyard and got a wicked sunburn on my already pretty damn brown shoulders and got me a fine education about Black Loyalist originations and reimmigration from and to Sierra Leonne. I recommend that book like I recommend nothing I have read since maybe the Pornographer’s Poem. Masterpiece of blood and guts and the absolute gorgeousness of literacy. Wrong For a bit. I me...

http://halifaxcrafters.blogspot.com/2012/04/call-for-volunteers.html
The Halifax Crafters are a group of several dozen artists who enjoy making things by hand and who have a unique vision to share. Volunteers have been putting on seasonal handmade markets since 2005 as part of Halifax Crafters' mandate to encourage new artists and local artmaking. Shows are juried every time creating a unique place for established artists and university instructors to gather with emerging artists and students to show inspiring new projects. Anna J. Taylor. Just a few of our Crafters.

Kate Ward: November 2014
http://kate-ward-design.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, 27 November 2014. Snakes and Ladders : Enamel and Linen necklace. For our final assessment in Enamelling we had to create something that was inspired by 'games'. The word could be loosely interpreted and I chose the Snakes and Ladders board game I remembered fondly from childhood. To begin with, I made two different prototypes, experimenting with combining metal and woven linen thread. The first prototype was difficult to wear as the metal lengths stuck into the skin. Using Plique a Jour. Earli...
