We are instituting the marble (or in our case the shiny rocks because that is what the dollar store had available) system! I love stuff like this, it is fun, and a great way to earn rewards! The meanderings of a homeschooling, stay at home and professional trumpet playing mom of 3 kiddos! Wednesday, March 03, 2010. A sample of our latest trip to the Arboretum. There were fruit trees,. Beautiful art in plants covering the ground,. Unusual plants like the sausage plant,. And the Lobster Plant! And of course Hadassah loved the fish! One of the many pitcher plants we learned about in the carnivorous plant chapter. We also saw Venus Flytraps which we had studied. The girls have learned as well.

I searched the library system and found a couple of videos that applied to our studies this week. I was pleasantly surprised at how these videos fit exactly what we had studied in our Sonlight curriculum this week! This video, Ancient Mesopotamis, from the Ancient Civilizations for Children Series, was fantastic!
