From our very scientific study- sitting on a bus stop bench and counting out loud- Emma and I have determined that bikes rule. The best thing about bikes as travel is ...

Sunday, April 26. Original writing date: June 2006*. In addition to my wonder and awe for the Dutch and all they are capable of carrying and/or undertaking while riding a bicycle- eg: full cup of coffee in one hand, mobile telephone in the other- is the ability to stop the bike with full grace and dignity. This is yet another facet of the bike envy I feel here. I have yet to master this enviable feat. Rather, my stops consist more of a white knuckle pull on the handbrakes, leaving several inches of t...

Fourier Analysis is a mathematical tool which can do a number of things: separate out signals from noise; help identify patterns or trends in data; filter out all unwanted data and focus on a single signal; use approximations to make generalizations; make approximations of real world signals (think electronic music); combine harmonics to get a stronger signal. That's what I'll be trying to do here! Won't you join me with your comments? Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Diet, Curse, Loathe. And this one sums up m...

Another year of laughter, tears, and memories to dream about while we rock away the hours of the future sitting in our sturdy rocking chair sitting in front of the fire. or at least I hope that's the way my life ends. LOL. To all my blogging friends and my non- blogging friends. Happy 2008! This is a time for reflection as well as celebration.

Friday, February 03, 2006. Well it's been awhile since I've posted here. I have been sick and ended up with an ear infection. The first one I have ever had. Took the round of anitibiotics so we'll see if that took care of the problem. I got some nice responses from my story. I'm glad you all liked it. I sure enjoyed writing it. Wouldn't you really like to know what the animals are saying or thinking? LOL We'd probably be surprised. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 40 pounds lost so far. Soccer Mom in Denial.
