Cliff Notes: May 2013
http://cliff-notes.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
From the life, times, and random thoughts of Sharon Cliff. Friday, May 31, 2013. I'm about ready to start again. Really. My physical therapist says I am doing great and he is ready to pass me off. There are three more days of Seminary and then I can sleep a bit more, even with gym visits (I think I can handle the bike and arm work) before school drop offs. I'll report back later. Cliff Notes: This Old House
http://cliff-notes.blogspot.com/2014/07/this-old-house.html
From the life, times, and random thoughts of Sharon Cliff. Thursday, July 24, 2014. Once upon a time my family room looked like this. And my kitchen (and my baby) looked like this. But this spring we embarked on some long-anticipated projects. The major issue was two-toned cabinets in the kitchen and family room (seen above) from the combination wood fronts and laminate sides. Maybe they matched when they were installed 20 years ago. You can't really stain laminate, so we decided to paint. Then the paint...

Cliff Notes: Seminary Teacher
http://cliff-notes.blogspot.com/2013/02/seminary-teacher.html
From the life, times, and random thoughts of Sharon Cliff. Sunday, February 3, 2013. Seminary is one hour a day, five days a week. But that hour each morning has a disproportionate affect on my life. Teaching seminary is one of the hardest things I have ever done. It is also somewhat removed from the mainstream consciousness (unless you are dragging your child there every 6 am why would you think about seminary? And the experience is almost impossible to describe. But here is a link. Health Me Health You.

Cliff Notes: Acts of Kindness
http://cliff-notes.blogspot.com/2012/12/acts-of-kindness-paid-forward.html
From the life, times, and random thoughts of Sharon Cliff. Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Giving felt different. But it did. At the hospital I told the nurses what I was doing, and why. I asked them to give the gift to someone who was maybe there already, who might need something to brighten their day - or - to save it for someone later who they thought could really use it. They smiled and commented, and I noticed how this activity blessed everyone involved. December 19, 2012 at 2:34 PM. The Color of Water.

Cliff Notes: October 2012
http://cliff-notes.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
From the life, times, and random thoughts of Sharon Cliff. Friday, October 26, 2012. This post is direct from the weekly email I send seminary parents. I LOVED this week in seminary! But it was our activity today that still has me grinning! Wednesday, October 17, 2012. Does this sound awful? And as you know, I am not soft-spoken or particularly sweet. I'm a goof! My natural "exuberance" has occasionally been misinterpreted in the past, but I like to think it's a harmless kind of crazy. It hasn't kept...

Cliff Notes: May 2012
http://cliff-notes.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
From the life, times, and random thoughts of Sharon Cliff. Monday, May 21, 2012. What would you do in Los Angeles or Utah this summer? After 2 years of staying home, we're planning on heading West this summer. Thursday, May 17, 2012. I found this "cleaning game" via Pinterest. The idea is that you fill in a grid with chores and then your kids can choose "four in a row." I figured, why not try it out? Because the current level of complaining EVERY TIME I ask for something to be done could not get any worse.

From the life, times, and random thoughts of Sharon Cliff. Sunday, February 10, 2013. Health Me Health You. Almost immediately I noticed a difference - my knees didn't hurt! My feet don't hurt, so I went for a 30 minute walk. The next day (looked like rain) I went to the gym (! And did the recumbant bicycle for 30 minutes. Because I have been so sedentary (feet hurt!
