You would not miss the 2 Regina chairs in this hall, in their smooth turquoise leather, the ivory grand piano standing proudly nor the oversized butterflies mounted on the foyer's wall, zebra-skin rug and the diamontae grip bar on the main door. It is a statement of outward confidence. So is the vibrancy of the colorful artworks around the 2400sqft of space. One sensed the owner of this home is bold, happy and takes pride in possessing the finer things in life.

We wanted a home inspired by our visits to PS Café that was the homeowner's brief to Ansana. Thankfully, the couple met Ansana who could deliver their request. This 1,300-square-foot home is owned by an expatriate husband and his Singaporean Chinese wife. The living room's most striking feature is the pre-war bricks that were painstakingly sourced locally. The scarcity of such bricks was a real challenge but the Ansana's resourcefulness and determination got the task done.

The homeowner's brief to Ansana was to create a modern habitat that doesn't lose its tropical essence. Ansana proposed that the old two-storey home be gutted out in order to create a stylistic overhaul. But what is the home's piece de resistance? It is clearly the master bedroom's 6-metre high ceiling with exposed timber beams to create a resort look. This sleeping sanctuary is a picture of serenity with stylish touches such as the bed's laminate headboard shaped to look like a woven structure. I...Its e...

Defining the spatial elements for a family of active kids isn't always the easiest things to do. Parents have to consider their child's growth and development and planning ahead for their teenage and high school years. But Ansana took up this challenge to transform a 3,000-square-foot, three-storey corner terrace enthusiastically for an Indian couple and two kids.

Ansana Residential Project - Switzerland – Crans Montana

With the view of the Swiss Alps right at your door step, it is hard not to love the place. Yet the owner indeed used not to fancy the house, or rather its interior, which was previously more homey and cottage-like with pine wood walls, scalloped curtains, chunky balustrades and mountainous-shaped cobblestoned fireplace.

Doing large scale homes requires a good sense of proportion. This sprawling property's flying roof always gets first-time visitors talking. Sturdy steel pillars hold the gargantuan roof and plenty of glass walls draw in the light, making the living area airy and light-filled. Four leather armchairs and two large leather sofas from Giorgetti provide sumptuous seating and allow the family to enjoy views of the courtyard. Another noteworthy feature of the home is the formal dining space.
