Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Museum, History and Dinner with Friends. Heather - Wednesday 4 November 2009. The skies opened up mid afternoon and it was decided that it was about time we stopped getting wet and started getting dry. Once dry however we did go for a walk around Dudley and passed the zoo, renowned for its bear pit. We decided to give this a miss. The apes were swinging happily in the soggy weather and we could see them above the walls as we passed by. Collette congratulations for new job.

Sunday, November 1, 2009. Rain, Tapestries, Tea, Memorial and Pubs. Heather - Sunday 1 November 2009. We found Lichfield and were promptly drenched. I must say the wind in lazy as it goes straight through you. Dr Samuel Johnson - Market Square. Went shopping for umbrellas and ended up with a pair of jeans, socks and shirts for Paul which came to the same amount as a pair of jeans in Sydney! No umbrellas so we continued to get wet. History of Lichfield Heritage Centre. Visited The Tudor of Lichfield.

Whilst in Whittington we took a look at the outside of 8 Babbington Close where Paul resided for the first 6 years of his life and primary school, now an education advancement centre. Leaving Whittington we returned to Lichfield for the Lichfield Cathedral and saw the Lichfield angel with its vast history and the resting pace of St Chad. In 1826 the poet, William Lisle Bowles.

Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Paul arrives in England. Paul - Tuesday 27 Oct 2009. Arrived at Heathrow Terminal 4 at 5:05am. It didn’t take me long to clear Customs as it appears I was the only person not travelling on a UK/EU passport. I found a young lady who looked at my passport took my entry card and through to baggage claim, then. Walked though an empty Customs hall and out.
