E inicialmente era um abatedouro de suínos, de propriedade de Joaquim Salles junto com outros sócios, localizada no bairro no bairro de Água Branca. Na cidade de São Paulo. A empresa possuía uma fábrica de gelo com capacidade ociosa e isso despertou o interesse do cervejeiro alemão Louis Bücher, que desde 1868 possuía uma pequena cervejaria. Entre os acionistas estavam João Carlos Antonio Zerrenner, alemão e Adam Ditrik Von Bülow.

I will be heading to Mt. Vinson, Antarctic a as a guide on an International Mountain Guides Trip with Phil Ershler. The departure date is set for November 19th and we should get back in early December. I plan to post audio dispatches here as the adventure unfurls. Enjoy! Sunday, December 11, 2005. Antarctica 2009
Reise mit der MS Delphin 6.1. - 22.1.2009. Anfang 2009 habe ich mir einen langgehegten Traum erfüllt: eine Reise in die Antarktis. Zusammen mit meinem Vater habe ich vom 6. bis zum 22. Januar 2009 an einer Kreuzfahrt von Hansa Kreuzfahrten. Auf der MS Delphin. Teilgenommen. Während der Reise habe ich vom Schiff aus jeden Abend einen Reisebericht. Und ein paar Fotos ins Internet gestellt, um allen Daheimgebliebenen zu ermöglichen, uns zumindest virtuell zu begleiten. Natürlich will ich auch das Gästebuch.
Antarctica 2010
Reise mit der MS Delphin in die Antarktis. 22 - 20.2.2010. Nachdem ich mir mit meiner Antarktisreise 2009. Einen langgehegten Traum verwirklicht habe, kam es, wie es kommen musste: ich habe mich unheilbar mit dem Antarktis-Virus infiziert. Einzige Rettung schien eine weitere Reise zu sein. Daher bin ich im Februar 2010 erneut an Bord der MS Delphin. Viel Spaß dabei und ganz liebe Grüße an alle interessierten Mitleser. PS: Natürlich gibt es wieder ein Gästebuch.
