The Blasa Blog: February 2011
http://blasablog.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 17, 2011. The light at the end of the tunnel. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel, for many things.meeting baby Sydney and the fact that it is February means we are closer and closer to meeting our new little guy. Also, the warm weather is reminding us that Spring really will come sooner than later! We were able to meet our new cousin Sydney over the weekend. Mason and Clark were a little more interested in playing with the toys than checking out the baby :-).

The Blasa Blog: December 2010
http://blasablog.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 30, 2010. The big day is over, but we are still counting all of our blessings! We had a beautiful white Christmas here in Southern Illinois, full of action. We hope you all had a blessed Christmas weekend also! Clark's favorite present of the morning was a new addition for his train track, especially the tunnel that makes sounds when the trains go through! Here he is making us a pizza from his "Pizza Shop". Clark had a great time with Grandpa Bill. And Grandma and Papa Blasa. It was ea...

Where have all the cupcakes gone? A few next steps…. Lots of New Developments…. On: November 1, 2010. The past few months have been monumental in my life. I have gone through two major life changes at once and I’ve found myself having to do a lot of adjusting. First thing’s first–I’m newly married! I’m fortunate in the sense that I’ve managed to find a nice job in a local bakery so I’m able to work on developing speed as a baker and cake decorator. Oh and of course, here’s some shots of my cake and...

Aristotle's Feminist Subject: The Gender of Sound
http://speakeristic.blogspot.com/2008/09/gender-of-sound.html
This blog has been a way to interact with some of you around "subjects" that Aristotle has taught too many of us in the West, even today, to disparage: females, rhetoric, and translation. Much recovery yet to do. Thursday, September 4, 2008. The Gender of Sound. I want so badly to post on Sarah Palin’s rhetoric, and Barack Obama’s, Hillary Clinton’s, John McCain’s, and Joe Biden’s. What might we say about how we listen to them, about our part in judgment? Don’t have time for that today. If you hear a man...

Where have all the cupcakes gone? | Savoriesnsweets' Blog
https://savoriesnsweets.wordpress.com/2010/11/08/where-have-all-the-cupcakes-gone
Lots of New Developments…. Where have all the cupcakes gone? On: November 8, 2010. Is a cupcake bar! This is a cool, funky idea and I never saw anything like it back home! The space is clean and modern with lots of seating and artwork on display. There is also an adjoining art space where you can see more art on display. The display area for the cupcakes is lovely, as shown in the following photo. Behind the cupcakes, there is the coffee are and the bar area which were both pretty standard. Unfortunately...

Kishkushim خربطات קישקושים: More Thoughts on Protests
http://kishkushim.blogspot.com/2011/01/more-thoughts-on-protest.html
Commentary on Israel, the Middle East, and the Jewish World. Friday, January 28, 2011. More Thoughts on Protests. Comparing the photographs from Egypt in 2011 to those from the post-election demonstrations in Iran in 2009 - there are almost no women demonstrating in Egypt. In the Iranian protests, women were front and center, at least on the documentary record. Says quite a bit about the differences between these two societies and the protest movements. Comunidad de la Biblia. 1/30/11, 4:12 PM. SyriaComm...

Kishkushim خربطات קישקושים: Ahmed Tibi's Contradictions
http://kishkushim.blogspot.com/2010/10/ahmed-tibis-contradictions.html
Commentary on Israel, the Middle East, and the Jewish World. Friday, October 22, 2010. I always marvel at MK Ahmed Tibi. S willful distortions of the truth. Now, the doctor from Taibeh has seized the stage of the New York Times. There is far more wrong with the loyalty oath than simply the original intent of applying it only to non-Jews. Swearing allegiance to an Israel that is Jewish and democratic is logically inconsistent and an attempt to relegate Palestinian citizens of Israel to inferior status.

Losing Religion….Finding Faith? Links to Ancient Texts and Resources on Christian History. Why do we want go to Heaven? April 24, 2014. I read a post today written by the Unknown Buddhist, Pass the Hamm’s. It is an entertaining post about residents in a retirement home discussing what it will be like in Heaven. Will there be Hamm’s beer? If not, why go? And other such musings. But what stuck with me was the questions about what will we do when we get there? One retiree in the post comments,. Will heaven ...
