Last night | My Natural Pregnancy
https://mynaturalpregnancy.wordpress.com/2008/11/21/last-night
Keepin’ it natural, one day at a time. November 21, 2008. My contractions were so incredibly painful that we started boiling stockpots of water on the stove in case we needed them to warm up the birth pool. The kids were promptly put to bed, since the mere sound of their voices was making my pain levels increase rapidly. The house was tidied up, a nice soothing fire was built and then….they stopped. Oh well. Better luck next time. Entry Filed under: Uncategorized. 3 Comments Add your own. Get every new p...

MysteryMommy: How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count the Teys.
http://mysterymommy.blogspot.com/2009/03/how-do-i-love-thee-let-me-count-teys.html
Tuesday, March 24, 2009. How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count the Teys. Josephine Tey (AKA Elizabeth Mackintosh. Wrote eight books, all of which are just fabulous. I'm unable to pick a favorite, they are all so good and different in their own ways. I'm not going to talk about A Shilling for Candles because, well, it's her weakest book, and I've only read it twice. Don't start with this one. What would have that size and shape? This is just a lovely book. Labels: books glorious books. More Mystery than Mommy.

MysteryMommy: I love Amtrak (which is something I might have mentioned before)
http://mysterymommy.blogspot.com/2014/07/i-love-amtrak.html
Wednesday, July 16, 2014. I love Amtrak (which is something I might have mentioned before). I love riding the train to New York or Vermont or wherever. And making friends with my seatmates and the folks nearby. My most recent two adventures led to long discussions with: a professor of English Literature (the Romantic period) from Scotland; a professional rock-n-roll violinist; and a woman who lives less than a mile from my house. Jane Austen (of course), Georgette Heyer, Josephine Tey. Amalah . com.

MysteryMommy: Reason 5
http://mysterymommy.blogspot.com/2008/09/reason-5.html
Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Why I'm voting and walking and calling and writing for Obama/Warner/RhymesWithSeder. Part five of a series:. Or, more specifically, rail infrastructure. Move more people faster for less money. Now, y'all know how. What you may not know is how angry I was back in 2001 when Congress was bailing out the airlines and saying that they were going to de-fund Amtrak. How dare they bail out United - who let their planes be hijacked! And let Amtrak fail? Count me as a fan of rails, and...

MysteryMommy: Why I love Skating Shoes
http://mysterymommy.blogspot.com/2008/02/why-i-love-skating-shoes.html
Wednesday, February 06, 2008. Why I love Skating Shoes. One particularly beastly day, when it looked every minute as if it were going to rain and never quite did, Harriet was coming home from the river feeling as blue as a lobelia, when a car stopped beside her. Hullo, Harriet. How are you getting on? I feel simply terrible, and I shouldn't think I'll ever, ever get well again.". Harriet looked at him sadly, for she thought he was too nice to be so ignorant. It's a famous place.". But it's at the top of ...

MysteryMommy: Dame Agatha - part 4 in the Genevieve Asks series
http://mysterymommy.blogspot.com/2009/03/dame-agatha-part-4-in-genevieve-asks.html
Saturday, March 28, 2009. Dame Agatha - part 4 in the Genevieve Asks series. Christie was a phenomenally prolific writer: 80 mystery novels! Not to mention plays! Romances under a pseudonym! The Guinness Book of World Records calls her the best-selling author of all time - outselling everyone except the Bible 1. I have read everything she wrote. And I will talk to you here about my favorites. I have to say that Christie cheats just the squinchiest bit in this book, but I looooove the book very very much.

http://mnclampits.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
A bit sad to say I'm leaving mnclampits and moving on to momma nellie. please join me! I haven't posted since last April! We've been busy, to say the least, with kids, work, moving, and life in general. Need to get back at it to continue to better track the lives of my kids. Especially Cooper, who I could write an entire book about and he's only 2. Today he flushed his nuk down the toilet. Of a home we rent. Just lovely. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
