Sunday, February 12, 2012. Day 21 Kayaking Milford Sound. Gorgeous drive, Homers tunnel. I thought would be longer by the way it's talked up, but it's still pretty impressive knowing how much rock is above the tunnel. When you get through the tunnel, you get to Fjordland, appropriately named. It's like a land before time. but with roads. I left that school before I did my Junior cert, but for the short time I spent in that art class with that wonderful teacher, I kept with me what she gave me to this day. My artistic talents were given to me as a gift from my father, and with the encouragement I received in Galway , between them both I feel I am following the path that is right for me, while at the same time keeping my fathers memory alive in every painting I do.

We visited Avoca in Powerscourt for lunch on Valentine’s afternoon. Always lovely food, expensive , but lovely! Walking around the house without even going into the gardens, is beautiful. Of course , all of Wicklow is beautiful, being the Garden of Ireland, for obvious reasons. My navy boots look very bright amongst the browned leaves I think . Images by Paul Cormack.
