Freshwater Salmon Industry Consolidates. Queenstown based, Mount Cook Alpine Salmon (MCAS) has announced the purchase of Aoraki Smokehouse Salmon Ltd. Both companies operate Freshwater King Salmon farms on the South Canterbury hydro canals in the MacKenzie district.
