Bake on oven rack at 350° for 30 minutes. Explodes then you get speckled eggs! After eggs have cooled (ice bath recommended), roll them in dyed shaving cream. Use a toothpick to swirl the food coloring, don't mix thoroughly, and use baggies or plastic gloves unless you want your hands to coordinate with the eggs :). Just as...

Elena just a few months ago. I confess I'm feeling kind of smug about this - Elena reminded me that I taught her how to do it. But I never taught her this! I couldn't leave out this picture of Brei and the epic homemade pizza she whipped up. Or Kelly playing tickle torture with Curtis. I'd recognize that smile anywhere! Uh oh, busted.

This is the third year I've been able to team-teach with LeAnn, which pretty much equates to being reunited with a twin separated at birth. She is so much fun, so honest and down-to-earth, and so easy to work with. Talented. This is what she made for me and gave me for Christmas. I am still in total awe. I think this is my favorite square. Or maybe this 3-D flower. Or this lacy delight. But this one is sooooo gorgeous! And then there's this one.

Random memories and meanderings. Monday, January 19, 2015. My wake-up call for Christmas usually begins with our company Christmas party. This year we used one of the private dining rooms at the Sunland Park Racetrack, where we had a great view of Mt. Cristo Rey and the food was wonderful.
