I thought and I now KNOW that it would have been in John's best interests. Over the course of time I repeatly requested this over and over again with no results. EB told me that" yes there had been". My brother BigJohn and Me. Tuesday, July 20, 2010. We visit John again at the hospital. John is between stage 3 and 4 coma. In extreme cases of brain damage the swelling of the brain is so great they have to saw off part of the skull and place it in cold storage to accomodate. John's coma is in response to an event and recovery depends on type and extent of brain damage. Stage 3- coma-marked confusion with inability to perform fine movement, responds to painful stimuli. Stage 3 and 4 are the intermediary.
