Gecika Knits: The snow is flying
http://gecikaknits.blogspot.com/2015/01/the-snow-is-flying.html
Forays into Fiber Arts, Jewellery, and the odd recipe. Thursday, January 1, 2015. The snow is flying. Holy cow, time does fly doesn't it? It goes even faster when you have a deadline for christmas gifts. Here's one of them. I had to knit armwarmers for a lovely girl this holiday. I just HAD to take advantage of the photo op ;). These were my own pattern, a basic armwarmer with thumb gusset and a quilted lattice stitch back panel. Love! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Hanging...

Gecika Knits: A Suprise for a Baby
http://gecikaknits.blogspot.com/2014/09/a-suprise-for-baby.html
Forays into Fiber Arts, Jewellery, and the odd recipe. Thursday, September 25, 2014. A Suprise for a Baby. I guess it isn't that much of a surprise really. My coworker knows I'm knitting it for her. We still aren't convinced it's supposed to become a sweater. Even after casting off. I'm still not convinced. Yes, I did run out of yarn at the end. But I did a bit of strategic colourwork, and now it's not terribly obvious that I ran out of yarn. To a non-knitter, anyways. Oh my god, it's a baby sweater!

Gecika Knits: Reduce, reuse, recycle.
http://gecikaknits.blogspot.com/2015/01/reduce-reuse-recycle.html
Forays into Fiber Arts, Jewellery, and the odd recipe. Saturday, January 17, 2015. Reduce, reuse, recycle. I'm kind of on a 'look what I can do with old crap! Kick at the moment. My current weapon of choice? Bedsheets. Turns out that if you're careful, you can rip them into continuous lengths that can be used as yarn! I decided to channel my grandmother and make myself a rug for my cabin. At this point, I'm three bedsheets in. It's actually a nice little area rug now! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

A bit colder then normal, but I guess I just like that weather because I can wear my knits. I recently got to wear some other knits by another artist though! Stitch Noir on Etsy. Has some really fantastic (and macabre! Crocheted pieces that are really just amazing. Very nice.I do wish it was warmer though. I love the heat. August 28, 2014 at 4:35 AM.

Gecika Knits: Saquaro and Jewellery
http://gecikaknits.blogspot.com/2012/02/saquaro-and-jewellery.html
Forays into Fiber Arts, Jewellery, and the odd recipe. Friday, February 10, 2012. Well, I'm finally home. Isn't it just fantastic though? I've been in Tucson, Arizona for the past week. I had a really good time checking out the cacti, talking with other artists, and eating as much Mexican food as I could stomach without wanting to cry myself to sleep. I met a really fantastic artist who had the booth next to us:. Incredibly neat stuff that really got my mind ticking. Not too much knitting completed thoug...

Annie-Mation: Fan Expo Blues
http://suka-strife.blogspot.com/2014/10/fan-expo-blues.html
Friday, October 3, 2014. After my terrible sales at the expo, I've been finding it difficult to draw. Well, no, I've been finding it more difficult to paint. So, working from pre-made palettes, I started working again, and trying to shade again. Just a couple drawings. Friday, October 03, 2014. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Where ELSE I exist. Gecika Knits: Evangeline
http://gecikaknits.blogspot.com/2011/11/evangeline.html
Forays into Fiber Arts, Jewellery, and the odd recipe. Thursday, November 3, 2011. I haven't had very much time to myself lately, life just seems to be getting in the way a little too much. A 10 day week, followed by my birthday weekend, and Halloween? Far too many things to be getting done in far too little time. This is frustrating me to no end. How will I know what I'm supposed to be working on if I can't see it? Haha, I try to keep a list. Lets me know what Im working on. November 3, 2011 at 6:47 AM.
