Friday, May 2, 2014. Last weekend we headed down to Elgin, MN for the Dickie Scramble. We did the ride last year and we thought that we would give it a go again this year. Something special from Wisconsin. Monday, August 17, 2015. The Weekend That Was. The weekend was Kornfest in my hometown. That's right corn with a K. How redneck is that? Actually I love it there! Every year we try and do the run. It offers a 2 mile or a 10k. The Queen has been banged up and opted for the 2 mile and I did the 10k. The weather was horrible for a run. Hot, humid and sunny. Something special from Wisconsin. Monday, August 10, 2015. The Weekend that was. Did a repeat ride of last weekend because it was so much fun. We rode 44 miles on the bike trail. Pumping the fattie for 44 miles is a lot of work! Last week: Run-16.36 Miles/2:36. August 10, 2015 at 5:31 PM. Thursday, August 21, 2014. 12 Hours at Wausau. After the Lumberjack 100, I knew I wanted to work towards doing a 12 hour endurance race, so I signed up for the 12 hour solo race at the Wausau24. Wausau was a little over a month after the Lumberjack, and I figured I could use that month to train to prepare for it. Monday, June 2, 2014. Breaking the Beargrease in! Last winter I discovered the unmatched joy of riding a fat bike. I had raced Iceman for funsies on the shop demo and for me that was the final straw; I HAD to get one! When this past spring hit, I was faced with a difficult decision: keep the Mukluk. or re-home it and upgrade to the Salsa Beargrease. It really was a win-win situation!
