Wednesday, January 11, 2006. She is two and it was a joy to get to know her a bit more. She is fiercely independent and her favourite word is "no", yet she always says it with a sly smile. We also enjoyed connecting with Kim and Tim and sharing with them what we're up to here, as well as hearing about the new house they're moving into in the end of the month and how their work is going. Sunday, December 25, 2005. Well, today is Christmas. It still only barely feels like it for us though. It's 22 degrees and sunny outside. There was no real time of gift-giving. the kids got some gifts from their parents, but it was earlier in the day, and pretty casual and discreet (I, Mike, didn't even see them receive the gifts) and didn't really seem to be part of the 'formal' celebration. Tuesday, June 21, 2005. We've hammered out some of the details for our upcoming social:. August 6, 2005. Winnipeg Centre Vineyard, 782 Main St. 10 per ticket, $25 per family, $6 for students (up to grade 12). There will be spanish food, as well as cooking lessons on how to make pupusas, one of our favorite spanish dishes. Live music will include Guerreros (a spanish trio), Jay and Colleen Hinds (bluegrass), The Secret Band (cover tunes) and maybe more. Hope to see you there! There's no going back now.
