Aquatic Revolution - Articles: November 2008
http://ararticles.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 14, 2008. Success with Telmatochromis sp. 'Red Cheek'. Little aggression was witnessed between the pair, but I found the male to be very defensive and aggressive towards other fish in the tank. Once spawning was complete, the female tended to the eggs while the male guarded the territory similar to the activity I witnessed before. I have found this species to be quite enjoyable, and the colors not often seen at first glance are quite beautiful. This species is a wonderful, and recomm...

Aquatic Revolution - Articles: The Nitrogen Cycle
http://ararticles.blogspot.com/2008/08/nitrogen-cycle.html
Saturday, August 16, 2008. Removing water on a regular basis and replacing it with new, clean water is an excellent way to keep the Nitrate from reaching toxic levels. Another method is to include live plants in your setup, whether they be directly in the main tank or in a sump/refugium. A medium to heavy planted tank shouldn't show a significant ( 5 ppm) Nitrate reading. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I'm a dedicated aquarist with a passion for keeping these aquatic creatures. Aquatic Revolution - The meeki project. Saturday, August 16, 2008. The T meeki are growing at a phenomonal rate and have now more than doubled in size. They are all eating with vigour and love everything that touches the surface of their tank. I thinned out the group by removing 3 of them. The tank was getting crowded with all 8 of them in there. No signs of pairing just yet. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I'm a dedicated aquarist with a passion for keeping these aquatic creatures.
