Tuesday, June 16, 2015. June Bee Sewcial block. I made these two blocks for Debbie. For June's Bee Sewcial. Speaking of the other blocks, I am amazed by what my bee mates come up with every month. You can see all their brilliant work on the Flickr group. I'm lucky to be a part of this! Thanks so much Kari - theyre terrific! June 16, 2015 at 7:23 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments ( Atom ). Fibercrafter's Musings: December 2012
http://fibercrafter.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 9, 2012. Stacking the many bias-edge pieces of fabric to do the trimming at the points was difficult both due to the stretch of the bias and not having a template that could be used with a rotary cutter (paper or plastic eventually get shaved out of shape.). Once the block halves were sewn together, the intersection of the batik and black were leaving a very scant seam allowance. St Mary's Millennium Centre, Meadow Lane, Liverpool, L12 5EA. Monday, 24 August 2015. Marg's Quilt and Sue's Blocks. A few weeks ago this quilt was shown in it's early stages and look at it now. Marg brought it in to "Show and Tell". all FINISHED! Every part of the panel has been beautifully handstitched around the designs. Very effective Marg and a job well done. We also showed Sue's blocks in progress and she has now joined many of them together and they are looking good. Saturday, 22 August 2015.

Gallery - Small Makes. Wednesday, 24 June 2015. Remember the Pantone quilt challenge hosted by Adrianne from On the Windy Side. And Anne from Playcrafts. The one that wrapped up way back in April? Well, it's two months late but I finally got started on my Marsala quilt! I started with an oversized Young Man's Fancy block. I first discovered this block while reading a Margaret Atwood novel - quilt inspiration can be found anywhere! What do you think, lovely readers? Lee at Freshly Pieced. I discovered so ...

Saturday, September 19, 2015. A quilt for T. They lived and laughed and loved and left." - James Joyce. My friend's 16-year-old son died last month in a tragic accident. He loved his family, friends, and basketball, and he was a kind, sweet kid. It is still hard to believe that he is gone, and my heart aches for my dear friend T. What do you do when the unthinkable happens? What do you say? I couldn't be there with her, so I sewed. And sewed. And sewed. Pilar, helping me bind. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Doll quilt for P. Sleeping lizard! What will 2016 have in store? I'm expecting to do a little less sewing this year, to make room for travel and other adventures. With the time I do sew, I'd like to be intentional about these things:. 1 Continue finishing. I have been very good about finishing what I start, and I hope to keep up that trend. 3 Try triangles. I've been admiring equilateral triangle quilts for years and think I'm finally ready to give one a try! And includes "dare ...
