Skip to main content. Driving to WVU Core Arboretum from points East on I-68:. Take I-68 W Exit 7 towards WV-705 / Airport / Pierpont (0.3 miles). Turn right onto County Rt. 857 / Cheat Rd. (signs for WV-705) (1 mile). Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto US-119 S / Mileground Rd. (1.4 miles). At the traffic circle, take the second exit onto WV-705 W (250 feet). Exit the traffic circle onto WV-705 W (2.3 miles). Turn left onto Van Vorhis Rd. (0.5 miles). Continue onto Patteson Dr. (0.7 miles).

The WVU Core Arboretum welcomes visitors every day, from dawn to dusk. The WVU Core Arboretum is managed by the WVU Department of Biology. Free parking for visitors is available at the Arboretum parking lot or the WVU Coliseum parking lot. Nearby re. Strooms are in the adjacent WVU Coliseum and the WVU Creative Arts Center, across Monongahela Boulevard.

The $50 million building opened in 2001 and was officially dedicated on October 17, 2002. The Biology Department administrative offices are on the 3rd floor inside Room 3139. It frees its wings.
