Students digitizing audio tapes in the collection. In 2001 the Special Collections Department. Of the Meriam Library. California State University, Chico. In the 1980's, Ms. Hill approached the University to request that her collection of photographs, audio tape interviews, video tape and field/research notes be housed in the Meriam Library. The first 2900 images were given to the Library in 1987 and a finding aid was prepared by the manuscript librarian, Mary Ellen Bailey.

Dorothy Hill Biography

Dorothy Hill with Bertha Macias. In 1987, Ms. Hill reached an agreement to have the Special Collections Department. In the Meriam Library. Ms Hill passed away September 12, 1998. Soon after her family gave the remainder of the collection to the Library. This additional gift provided the field notes, video tapes, audio tapes, and nearly 2000 more images.
