are we there yet?: I wanted to tell you a simple story . . .

http://arewethereyet-jam.blogspot.com/2009/07/i-wanted-to-tell-you-simple-story.html

Are we there yet? Musings on this meandering journey called life - the space between heaven and earth. Sunday, July 26, 2009. I wanted to tell you a simple story . . . I wanted to tell you a simple story about an interesting bit of trivia that my husband shared with me a couple weeks ago. But since I haven't written much here about my husband, I wanted to describe him a little bit first. I really don't know. So I looked it up. Defines man's man as:. are we there yet?: Happy Spring!

http://arewethereyet-jam.blogspot.com/2010/03/happy-spring.html

Are we there yet? Musings on this meandering journey called life - the space between heaven and earth. Sunday, March 21, 2010. I hope you have the opportunity today to soak up a bit of sunshine, or listen to the birds, or catch a hint of color from a flower, whether it's a glorious red rose, a simple little daisy, or even a dandelion! I'm enjoying all of the above; it's a beautiful day. Brands ready-to-serve rice dishes in the pantry. One of them was a Santa Fe. I'd had a whole bunch of kale in the fridg...

are we there yet?: the week in review

http://arewethereyet-jam.blogspot.com/2010/02/week-in-review.html

Are we there yet? Musings on this meandering journey called life - the space between heaven and earth. Sunday, February 28, 2010. The week in review. Poor, poor me. I actually worked five full days in a row this week! Between the holidays, the time we've been required to furlough, and having every other Friday off as my normal work schedule, I haven't worked a full five day work week in months. But I managed; I am a professional, after all. I returned to work at 9:00 Thursday night to attend the final br...

are we there yet?: My Not To Do List

Are we there yet? Musings on this meandering journey called life - the space between heaven and earth. Saturday, February 6, 2010. One e-mail I kept to read was a very recent edition of Christine Kane's "Live Creative". E-zine. The featured article, How to Create a Powerful Morning Ritual, included some great suggestions. (Part of my fondness for Christine's e-zine is that her featured article is always done as a list. Yay for lists! Give in and eat meat because I feel guilty that the hubby cooked it.

Candace in Athens: Circle 'Round

http://candaceinathens.blogspot.com/2010/01/circle-round.html

The Sketchbook Project Blog for some more EyeCandy! Friday, January 8, 2010. I love circles. Spherical miracles. Most if not all of my images in the Sketchbook have some green in them somewhere, sure. But I always try to get something round in there somewhere! Is it because of that archetypal shape? Is it because it's one of the earliest geometrics and symbols recognized? Who knows and who cares! Remember those peas on that kid's plate? Good advice from Mom. Labels: Those Ferns Are For Jeanne. http://candaceinathens.blogspot.com/2010/01/and-here-we-go-again.html

The Sketchbook Project Blog for some more EyeCandy! Thursday, January 7, 2010. And Here We Go Again -. This is the ToC in My Sketchbook Project for Arthouse Cooperative. The first chapter entitled "The Simple Period" is listed below. I wanted to tie the theme "It's Not Easy Being Green" to the fact that sometimes it's not easy being. Including ages, genders, colours of people as well as colours we put on or try to, anyway. so there's this to refer to. Candace, Still In Athens. January 8, 2010 at 3:18 AM.

Madame Sews Alot: Our guest Mary Cassatt

http://madamesewsalot.blogspot.com/2014/01/our-guest-mary-cassatt.html

A somewhat quirky view of life by the woman known as the "Drapery Lady" by all the people I've decorated for over the past two dozen, plus, years. Also sharing ideas and thoughts on decorating and hobbies and some of the problems that go along with them. Sunday, January 26, 2014. Our guest Mary Cassatt. There is also a painting by Mary's friend, Degas, in the foyer by the front door. There's Mary in the lovely wicker chair! And the little girl just can't get her chair up close enough to visit with her.

The Sketchbook Project Blog for some more EyeCandy! Monday, February 1, 2010. It's Not Easy Being Red. When I was a kid, I thought. Yep Sad but true, as a kid, I fell for all that stuff crammed down our throats by Hollywood and sanitized textbooks before I found out about all the broken promises, not to mention blankets given to our brothers and sisters on the Plains and in the forests by our Pilgrim forebears, all of these blankets known by those good Christian folks to be infected with smallpox. I like...

Are We There Yet?

Are We There Yet? A Journey of Grief, Hope, Laughter and Love. Friday, May 1, 2015. An Overwhelming Heartache, An Overwhelming Peace. My heart is heavy today. I am a member of many Facebook pages for kids with cancer or diseases. Kids who are fighting for life, who need prayers and support. But sometimes it's overwhelming. Some days it's soul crushing. Innocent children shouldn't have to go through this kind of hell on earth. Their mothers shouldn't have to sit helpless watching their babies struggle...

Managing E-Learning

Sunday, August 22, 2010. Reflective Syopsis (Professional Blog) for Anita Stockwell - Due: Friday, August 27, 2010. If we teach today's students as we taught yesterday's, we rob them of tomorrow.". Dewey, n.d., cited in Piontek and Conklin, 2009, p.3). Barriers/Limitations to E-Learning in the Primary Classroom. There are also inherent risks associated with being 'online' and these apply equally in the classroom. What are the risks? What are the Opportunities for E-Learning in the Primary Classroom?

Are we there yet?

Tuesday, September 17, 2013. So, what is so special about a Tuesday? Nothing really, right? It's just kind of "stuck" there in the middle of the week. If you follow me on Facebook, you know a month or so ago, I decided to start doing some special, unexpected things for my wife on random Tuesdays. Your spouse may expect that you might do something special for them on a Friday or a Saturday, right? So, they started telling Susan "Happy Birthday"! Friday, September 13, 2013. How much is too much? I just los...

Are We There Yet?

Are We There Yet? Tuesday, June 7, 2016. Ponderings From the Hammock. Hammock-sitters are speculating: is it something perfectly innocuous or something that should come accompanied with scary-warning music? Nobody's heard any screeching violins or repetitive 4-note themes pulsating in the depths of the forest. So. Perhaps what we're hea ring really is just the wind. Or the dogs and cats, or squirrels and raccoons. BUT What if it's really (shiver) the neighborhood mountain lion? Links to this post. That's...

Are We There Yet??

Are We There Yet? Saturday, February 2, 2013. Is it Winter or is it Spring? We have had some crazy weather here in Michigan the past couple of weeks. Two weeks ago we got a huge snow storm that buried us in snow. Anyway, after that happened a couple of days later here we are in the midst of another snow storm. We have about 10" on the ground right now. The kids had fun playing in it today. I just hope this time it can all melt at a slower pace. Saturday, December 15, 2012. Ava showing off as usual. Are we there yet?

Are we there yet? Monday, August 17, 2009. I'm not sure how I started to breath again, but somehow I managed to get myself outside where I had a good cry. All I could think about was that my baby had a hole in her heart! And it was somehow my fault! I was totally and completely irrational. Anyway, my baby was released from NICU the following day. I still couldn't believe they were letting us take that tiny little baby home with us. How were we going to care for her? Monday, August 10, 2009. Well, that ni...
