Childhood : A series of Indian Haiku. This was my first attempt at structured poetry, as opposed to my usual 'spontaneous overflow of emotions' style. The Indian haiku, according to my English sir, is a lazy form of 5, 7, 5, 6. I had this already written before I realised I should probably google it to confirm it's existence, but by then I didn't care anymore. It is very. Feisty games of catch-the-crook. On a hot summer day. A little girl in pigtails. Eyes wide as she saw. What it meant to be grown.

It's not that I don't want to be touched. It's that I am. Of what I will become when you do. I want to be touched. By you. Only you. Just thinking of your touch on me makes me feel like putty. I write poetry not just because it comes so easily, but because I don’t even have to think. With prose, there are grammar structures to consider, the exact words in those dialogues, the plot twists, chronography – oh, the trouble! Different situations just to see if I got it right the first time. But what happens when I don’t? I get lazy, and I don’t do it again. Result?
