Thursday, November 22, 2012. Mazatlán - Dia de la Revolución. The parade was at least twice as large as the one in La Paz - it ran for about four miles along the Malecón. As in La Paz, it featured a lot of schoolkids, but also had dancers, bomberos (firefighters), cheerleaders, karate schools and more. Many of the groups would stop periodically to put on a little show. The firefighters even had an actual fire to put out:. What better place to demo climbing/rescue equipment than the back of a moving truck?

Having heard from our friend Sharon, who went up a week earlier, that there were definitely whales in Bahia Magdelena, we set off for a second try. Than the whales. Tuesday, April 23, 2013. So we had a new one made. With cupholders. And leaves that open from the top. Reggie, the same guy who did our teak decks built us this. I love it. Cockpit tables are so nice to have, we did without one and entertaining was always difficult. Hmmmm.It looks great and I know you will love having it! Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Yesterday afternoon in La Paz, it rained. A lot. I was outside grilling shrimp as it got darker and darker. Then it started raining, just a little at first, but in about three minutes it was pouring. Art came out and held an umbrella over my head while the shrimp finished cooking, and then we fled inside. I can't believe it took me nearly three weeks to figure it out, but my Android phone from Telcel is actually a useful tool for these. Nope, not moving. New Bottom paint 4 gallons, 3 coats, extra coats on the bottom of the keel and waterline. We used. Bluewater bottom paint applied with rollers and brushes. This is the second time we've used. This paint and Ted has been very happy with it's performance. New boot stripe at waterline with custom mix with Awlgrip applied with sprayer. All is good in the world of Firefly.
