At first glance, the paperclip butterfly picture, introducing Sinead Gaffney’s (@shinpad1) article in TES this week, jumped out as a trigger warning of child-centredness. Teaching – freedom is always the freedom to think differently. I have been teaching for over 25 years. Only started reading teacher blogs recently. Fortunate enough to work in a school where, at least up to now, the latest educational”fads” have not been imposed on staff. Don’t think I’m a luddite, but I’m very suspicious of all workload increasing initiatives which seem to be more about ticking a box on a CV than improving education. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
