La pasta que se utiliza para preparar jabón de tocador debe ser tenida en cuenta para la elección de la fragancia, ya que las que no son de primera calidad tienen olores grasos provenientes del proceso de fabricación que puede interferir con el aroma final, además de agrietar y resquebrajar el producto después de algunas semanas.

Utilizados en proporciones que van desde el 1,0 al 4,0 % de esencia ( 10 % en geles), son utilizados también para perfumar los lustradores en base silicona ( en este último caso la dosis de perfumación varía entre el 0,15 al 0,50% para cubrir bien el solvente).
