The ferry sees over 700,000 passenger journeys per year, and so providing urgent medical care to Arran’s visitors is an important component of the medical services that we offer. If you expect to be on Arran for more than 3 months, we advise you to register with our practice. Urgent medical attention out of hours.

Community Access Defibrillator Project. 999 or via hospital. 4 tracked responders (3 GPs, 1 Nurse), but all GPs are able to provide BASICS response. Personal vehicles and kit. Prehospital care, to supplement and augment ambulance response when multiple incidents or casualties. Normal role is as rural GPs (or practice nurse) with A&E and inpatient care at community hospital. Advanced prehospital care using Sandpiper Bags and BASICS Scotland skillset.
