Free Online Tutorial of the Month. With definite thanks and appreciation to Becky Roberts (one of my favorite demonstrators), whose project I saw online and fell in love with at first sight, I bring you the July Free Online Tutorial. It took a while but with the help of the local hardware, my hubby and the acquisition of a Crop-a-Dile Big Bite (with 50% coupon of course), I prevailed! Bright Ideas Studio: Soft & Silky Serendipity
http://brightideasstudio.blogspot.com/2015/02/soft-silky-serendipity.html
Art to wear.or just admire! Sunday, February 1, 2015. Soft and Silky Serendipity. I am totally hooked on this Deconstructed Silk Screen process. After I printed several yards of fabric, and tried to decide what I was going to do with it, what first came to mind was to make scarves. However, I had a few PFD silk scarves hanging around the studio, so I printed directly onto them. The results are fabulous! The printed designs are so unique, and completely unpredictable. What a great process for me!

Art to wear.or just admire! Monday, December 1, 2014. I taught Silk Painting Basics to a lovely group of ladies today. We started with a small piece in an embroidery hoop, to feel comfortable with the materials and technique. They did a great job! Next week they will complete a larger piece, suitable for framing or to use in a sewing project. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I'm in the Fall 2016 issue! Lost Fingerprints - Adventures in chalk: Hold Your Horses - Art Gallery of Viera 2016
http://lostfingerprints.blogspot.com/2016/04/hold-your-horses-art-gallery-of-viera.html
Friday, April 29, 2016. Hold Your Horses - Art Gallery of Viera 2016. I don't know if you know this, but I am a director at Art Gallery of Viera. Each month we host a different themed show, as well as have a different artist who does a demo. Well, in January we had a horse themed show and I created a piece for in front of our gallery. I would guess it took about 2-3 hours, that is how long our opening receptions are. And maybe 3x5 in size? I'm not to sure on that part. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
